12:53 Connor, you are not insane. That actually makes perfect sense and exactly how it works. One of the general advices on how to cool yourself in hot weather is to eat a hot soup. By eating a hot food, you sweat more and cool much more than you would by eating cold food. Hot soup (or hot beverages) are also preferable to other hot food, since it helps you stay hydrated for more sweating and more cooling.

It is! I used to grow up in a hot country (up to +50 Celsius in shade at summer), and I always go for hot tea in hot weather, that's how you make your body hottor and it's closer to environment (or at least it feels this way), and you don't need to drink as much. But if you drink cold things, you would drink and drink and drink forever, and get a cold afterwards. Now we are living in really cold place with snow half a year, and my husband, who grew up here, is always in shock with me drinking hot tea like that. And when we went to my family once... you guessed it, he got cold like second day >.

The hot drink on a hot day is actually common in many hot countries around the globe. I think it has to do with your body having to cool down the drink and thus having a cooling effect on your whole system. I once got served a hot tea from a local in the egyptian desert.

13:00 actually I agree hot drinks can definitely feel like they cool you down because hot drinks on hot days make you sweat and once the sweat evaporates it feels like you cooled down. That's why in hot places like Saudi Arabia they drink hot tea.
@samwilkinson9309

What Connor said about a hot drink on a hot day is a common thing here in England, the heat from the drink balancing your body heat with the weather so you feel the difference left, or so I hear. I don't drink hot drinks (yes, even tea) but for me the equivalent is soup. But also I can't drink cold soup too, not too hot either though as I easily burn my tongue.

1:21:22 I had one of those. They gross. You gotta have like a special band-aid that like sticks to it, then it pulls it out from underneath the skin a bit, and you can either sand it with a pummace stone or use like a plastic knife to saw away at it over time. So Garnt carving it out with a knife isn't super far off from a method to get rid of it. He just kinda decided to carve away a whole area of his foot, rather than have a band-aid lift the wart to be exposed for safe sawing.

Honestly in my experience, UK doctors are also a situation where you have to already know what's wrong and then spend months harassing them to believe you and do anything about it. I had a really lucky but bizarre scenario once though; I figured out I had a salivary gland stone, told the doctor what it was the second I sat down. he blinked at me, said "okay let's see" and looked, went "honestly I've never seen it in person but sounds like you hit the nail on the head, I'll refer you" and this man somehow got me an Ear Nose and throat appointment for like 2 weeks later, got the thing taken out the same day. Then I received a letter (you get copies of letters sent between doctors about your care), and my man's was getting chewed out for somehow referring me as a potential cancer risk and that's why I got it so fast 😂 was he real one or an idiot, I will never know

qualifications: I'm a Texan On the note of American Sweet Tea, I don't often like it from restaurants. it often tastes like sugar water with minimal flavor. There are only a few places that do a good job, but I may be a minority since I see people order it a lot. its always best when home made! its super easy! You do have to use more tea bags than the instructions say, and I often add a fruity flavored tea bag to the pitcher for an extra somethin' somethin'. half sweet is often sweet enough for me.
