I would add a strike king bitsy minnow. It is a micro square bill crankbat, that bass and other fish of all kinds love. I would also agree with the chatterbait, even though I have never caught a fish on one, I got darn close to catching a near 15 pounder.

Just throw a big ribbon tail worm, zoom, culprit, Gambler or any 7.5" or longer and drag it, and hop it a lil, even dead stick it, it'll get bit!

Bass are not deep, it’s deoxygenated the lower it goes in September, the deepest you should fish is 15-10 feet, lower than that they’ll die. Fish crainkbaits, or things that have lots of action in the water, Imamate shad, there are tons of shad in the shallows for September, shallow Alabama rigs work very well. A slow jig is a good snack. But the shaky head is the best for snacking.

There is a reason outdoor shops dedicate whole isles to plastic worms,.. Because For your average delusional weekend warrior fisherman who thinks he's borderline pro and about to enter tournaments (like me) .. They work. Little 150-300 acre local lakes I can go fishing and have a good time on a Saturday catching bass using soft plastics with very little skill or effort.

What do you consider “deep”? Most of the lakes I fish are 50-100 feet deep at their deepest. I can catch them pretty good at about 30’ but anything deeper than that I haven’t had much luck. I’ve never thrown a Texas rig much deeper than about 15 feet, tho.
@johnhahn8130

To me in my neck of the woods, 30 feet is very very deep, especially for largemouth now small mouse could be a different story during the middle of the summer and the winter time
