That's funny! My wife grew up in NYC. She had a girlfriend who was rather attractive. If a sketchy guy started to get too close on the street or subway she would start picking her nose. It was such a turn off that they masher would leave.

Tessah, there's some great points in this video. People seem to forget that most people are NOT thinking "gun" when they look at someone. In fact, most people aren't even looking at your wait line at all. Think about it... most people (especially non-gun people) are looking at your face/eyes; that's just what society has taught us. We are thinking gun because we're carrying one and its constantly reminding us that it's there, but most people aren't. Your content is top notch, I'm a big fan. You're doing a great job of breaking down barriers to carrying and gun ownership. Appreciate ya! Stay safe out there.

I live in rural America, so the folks open carrying with their cheap pistol in a nylon holster draw the attention. I kind of adopted the waist/pocket/clothing check. I check the waist for printing/gun, then I check the edge of the pocket for knives/tools, plus I check apparel and build. Sure the fashion industry has started the camo line lately, but I see a fit guy with a beard wearing an american flag hat with his hands open, you bet I’m assuming he has a gun. I've carried for 40-some years. When my state finally passed a CCW permit law and lots of folks freaked out about not showing any clue that they were carrying, I told them my philosophy. IT IS CONCEALED. THAT DOES NOT MEAN INVISIBLE. IF IT IS COVERED AND OUT OF PLAIN VIEW, THAT IS CONCEALED. While I don't usually open carry, there are have been times I've done so. I've gone into the Home Depot or grocery store, did my shopping, went through the check out, left, and NO ONE NOTICED.

Great video. I am a 65-year-old male retired police officer. I am in very good shape for my age and probably out walk or even run people younger than myself. I was also one heck of a fighter at one time but with shoulder injuries and back injuries, I’d rather not fight any more. So I have ditched my Tactical clothing and gun hats and T-shirts for more gray man type apparel. I also lost weight so my appendix carry is not noticeable. Twenty eight years of law-enforcement taught me what to look for and what kind of areas to stay out of. I survived a line of duty shooting many years back and would rather not go through that again but I still train. Keep up the good work young lady.
