The BeeGees were: the tallest and oldest brother (with the big hair and beard), Barry Gibb, born September 1, 1946, the only surviving Gibb brother. Robin Gibb (with the long hair, no beard), born December 22, 1949-passed away May 20, 2012, and Robin's fraternal twin brother Maurice (the balding brother with the beard, pronounced "Morris") Gibb, born December 22, 1949-passed away January 12, 2003. They also had another, younger, brother Andy Gibb, born March 5, 1958-passed away March 10, 1988. The three oldest brothers were born on the Isle of Man (UK). Oldest brother Barry got seriously burned when he accidentally pulled boiling tea over himself at 18 months old. He was in coma for a while, nearly died and was in hospital for many months. Because of this, he did not learn to talk until after the twins were born. Later the family moved to Manchester and from there they emigrated to Australia in 1958, right after Andy was born. Their musical career, which they had started as little kids, didn't lead to international success so they moved back to the UK in 1966. Then they had a string of big hits, until they temporarily broke up around 1970 for 15 months. Started back up, looking for a new sound which they first found in 1974 with the transitional album "Mr. Natural". After that "Main Course" was the first album that moved them into a new direction: more rhythm&blues, dance music like with great hits like Nights on Broadway and Jive Talkin' (and was also actually the first album on which their logo was introduced). From 1976 on they went all out with falsetto driven dance music which lead to their biggest commercial success as they provided classic songs for the Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (1977 Stayin' Alive, How Deep is Your Love, Night Fever amongst them). You should react to the 1979 live version of Stayin' Alive, too kzitem.info/news/bejne/mKSfvoeecKiIhX4 Other great songs to analyze: great album tracks from the 1979 Spirits Having Flown album, the title song: kzitem.info/news/bejne/uH6V0G1mn3V6nmk, the outrageously beautiful song Reaching Out kzitem.info/news/bejne/15x-u4drhphhY4Y. From their Still Waters album, Smoke and MIrrors: kzitem.info/news/bejne/ropv3IZ-jIl_laA. From the 1960's I've gotta get a message to you kzitem.info/news/bejne/pHdqqX2kfaCFnm0. That guy doing that that high Echo singing in the background that's Maurice. Maurice like Barry has a real good high-pitched falsetto. What they're doing is Robin and barrier singing blaming it all on the nights on Broadway and Maurice is repeating that in a very high falsetto voice that sounds kind of like Echo it's almost like they're echoing the line but that's Maurice and I think that is one of my favorite parts of this whole song I just love that. Also in this song don't know if you realized it or not but Barry is singing in the mid to low register parts of the song.

Its sooo good. Every single song on the Main Course 1975 album is fire and this was my favorite song of all of them! In this song they are "singing them love songs" "to that crazy, crazy town" ( NYC & Broadway symbolizes the night life.) Blaming it on the nights on Broadway insinuates temptation!! And his girlfriend is not having it ( "Even if I have to wait a lifetime" for her, but he senses that she "never ever left my side".) Then came the Spirits Having Flown Album in 1979 and Too Much Heaven and Love You Inside Out ( funky) became my #1 and #2 favorite with Nights on Broadway tying for #2 favorite. I must admit though I have another dozen faves that tie for #2 position!🎉.❤❤❤😢

Yeah bro I agree --- killer tune here! Easily one of my favorites of theirs. Bro, seriously, check out their song "Love You Inside and Out" -- (unless you did already, I'm gonna check) I think it's my favorite of theirs, and that's not easy to reach. You asked about Broadway -- you got it -- it's the main theater district in NYC. A concentrated area. Expensive, big shows. I've been to 1 or 2, a long time ago. Not sure how many theaters it consists of but that's the main idea. There is also "Off-Broadway" and "Off-off Broadway" -- which basically means smaller theaters where they don't charge nearly as much, with lesser-known performers and writers.

Y'all look up Broadway and check into it cuz I'm sure you find some musicals and stuff that you might like Broadway was a really good creative place to put out a lot of great musicals and plays. I don't know if you're familiar with a theater in the Bronx call the Apollo Broadway was in some respects similar to the Apollo but much much larger and they weren't like a concert hall type of thing they were true full-blown theater where you did plays and musicals.

Hey Shon, what you are describing is the "disco sound." Some of the biggest rock bands played in disco clubs in the 1970's & 80's. country, blues, and gospel was also going through a major transformation from their "traditional sound" rock had set everything on its ear. lol Rock had made its way into all of these other genres of music. But the disco sound had become firmly established by the late 70's and throughout the 80's with bands such as The Bee Gee's, The Average White Band, Earth, Wind, and Fire, Commodores, KC & The Sunshine Band. I could go-N-on 🤟 I think you would enjoy listening to "KC & The Sunshine Band - Keep It Coming Love (TopPop) (Remastered in HD)" I love disco, and blue-eye soul music; they had some of the best harmonies you'll ever hear...truly magical stuff, bro🎶 "ear candy"🍬 When you asked about Broadway...I guess the best way to describe the difference is that the music in Broadway shows are typically composed of songs that are sung by actors who are performing on stage. However the genres of music that are associated with Broadway span across multiple styles of music like jazz, blues, rock and pop. "Frank Sinatra ft. Ella Fitzgerald - The Lady Is A Tramp (Official Video)" Frank Sinatra started out as a singer/songwriter in his early career and became an actor after he achieved success. He would be a good example because he did perform on Broadway. he was legendary, bothas an actor and also singer/songwriter. He has a lot of great music to discover (Sorry so long, wasn't intending to write a book🤭)
