Best use of a orchestra in rock (or not too far from rock, anyway) to me is half of the album "1964" of French singer Miossec. I'd recommend "Dégueulasse" and "Désolé pour la poussière" for starters. If you liked those two, check out "Brest" (no orchestra but a brilliant song). I had read a lot of negative reviews about their new music but this is the first i've heard it too and i really enjoyed that, thanks. Have you ever done any videos about Volbeat? I recently got quite in to their music and really enjoy most of their stuff. Going to go and see them on their UK tour in December. For Evigt and Lola Montez probably my two favourites by them but theres loads more to choose from too!

@@sexybeast4320 I do like the way they keep ‘having a go’ in all fairness…they have come a hell of a long way,and managed to avoid ALL the U2 pitfalls…but he does do a Bowie on this one…

@@joelfildes5544 we can all appreciate their development of their music, but sadly nothing will come close to their debut album

@@sexybeast4320 weell I think the problem is that the first album was the wonder of novelty. It's hard to objectively compare when they only have a gradual development rather than reinventing themselves completely. I feel a bit robbed of the experience of listening to them without the baggage of having listened their first album to death, witch makes me struggle at enjoying their other stuff....

I tip my hat to you Justin. So incredibly insightful and fair. I heard it on a very cheap radio without the benefit of a great video, sorry. I thought it was Robby Williams second, genuinely until the presenter said it was the AMs.

Excellently curated song. It reminds me of Pulp's "This is hardcore" who in return used strings from space age composer Peter Thomas. Thank you for keeping us posted with your thoughts even though you are feeling unwell. Hope you will be able to shake off that cold before you leave for Australia. Is the fireplace in your home actually working?

Recorded their first album at Chapel in Lincolnshire. I was a tape op there but not during their or your sessions there.
