@@Zigtyr for real. Like he's doing the people a service. More than half the cost of these things in cities is a result of insanely high property tax and utility costs. Which is why people leave. That's why my parents left when New York City when I was a kid. Their property taxes now, 30 years later, are still not even close to what they were back in 1995 in New York City. Imagine that. In 1995 even when you take inflation into it, my parents property taxes were significantly higher than they are today in PA. It's obscene.
@bigbabado8296
18 күн бұрын
You know this is a relative thing right? Like New Yorkers realize the difference between "Cheap for New York" and "Cheap"? And yeah, property taxes are much higher in the city than in PA because they have to run one of the largest subway, railway and bus systems that employ tens of thousands of people in an area thats highly desirable. Like as long as someone is willing to pay 3k a month for a downtown Brooklyn studio things will not get better anytime soon lol. Its rough out here but hey, good food is easy to find at least.
@ericmcmanus5179
18 күн бұрын
@@bigbabado8296 the high prices in these cities isn't simply because of the extra utilities and infrastructure involved. The tax policies that always get put in place of these democrat rum cities far exceed what would be necessary if they were run properly. But they are never run properly. There are tons of videos describing the ridiculous and expensive levels of red tape involved in buying or renting any property in these cities. Look at California. They take in more revenue than any other state in the nation. Enough to make it the 5th or 6th largest gdp in the world. Yet it is way too expensive, has a massive crime and homeless issue. Drugs epidemic. Companies are feeling. And home owners are fleeing. It doesn't have to be that way. But government policy has made it impossible for anyone who doesn't make 500k + to live there.

Right? I get so triggered by people living in the armpits of America, where everything is dirt cheap, and they’ve never worked a kitchen job or priced out a dish- and they bitch about food costs in NYC or LA or wherever. Like, it’s straight ignorance. That’s a solid 6oz of decently marbled hanger, and it’s a limited run menu so they’re not buying in bulk to get a price reduction, along with a good serving of fries, and a rich sauce. 20$ is a *very* good price, they can’t be clearing more than a few bucks per serving on that.
