Sometimes less is more and that's exactly what photographer Gavin Hoey explores when he creates a small slot of light for a portrait shoot.
Gavin takes the DIY budget approach to creating a slot of light, recycling a cardboard tube to control the light. In the video he'll show you how to create a slot of light and then three different ways it can be used and extended into a thin beam to create some eye catching portraits.
