In this latest JAZZMIND video, I talk about how we tend to learn and teach jazz improvisation with a heavy focus on scale work, but we often don't give nearly as much time to learning chord tones and chord qualities. I demonstrate how thinking about chord tones has given an added clarity to my solos, all while using fewer notes! I also give an analogy about learning to improvise by comparing us to another type of improv artist...COMEDIANS! Then I give a simple exercise at the end that can help you start incorporating chord tone practice into your playing. Please like, share, comment, and subscribe so you won't miss any upcoming videos! Wishing you love and music - Tito
