I have been playing slide in standard a lot over the last couple years. There really isn't a lot of study material out there for this kind of thing. Great lesson! I cannot wait to play it!

John, Love your work by the way. You make it simple to learn…at 77 years old I need that! I have two Honey Dippers. I decided to put National cones in both of them, wow, what a wonderful improvement in tone…simply more bluesy..

Hey Gerry, thanks for checking out the videos and for the kind words. I really enjoy mine with the national cone too, just seems to be the sound I've always been looking for with a resonator. Cheers! John

Hi John, what gauge strings are you using i.e. to help with the fretting, whilst still getting a good slide tone? Fantastic lesson. My honey dipper is in an open tuning, so I don't get to it much, whilst trying to master the acoustic in standard tuning. This lesson may help me get more use out of the honey!

Ugh! Looks like I’m gonna have to force myself to slide with my pinky. Bad medicine.
