Hey Frederic, thanks for the comment. I am using the Ariel Posen signature slide by Rock Slide and I love it. I'm not sure of the size or if it's even offered in different sizes but it's got a tapered inside that helps it fit nice and snug.

Hi and thanks for your quick response! I am delighted with your dobro lessons!!!!!! I'm going to try to buy your slide, wouldn't you remember where you bought it? Look, I know you're not going to understand "Catalan" but I'm sending you my first "tutorial", it's still funny to see it: kzitem.info/news/bejne/pIqutndmen14iqg I love dobro and am crazy about it. Whoa! This is some next level stuff! Beautiful lesson. Please tell me about that slide? I’m thinking of switching to the pinky.

Thanks! And I made the switch myself a couple of years ago. I really wanted to get more fingers behind the slide to help with techniques like the on in this video. This one is a Ariel Posen Rock Slide. Love the ball end and the inside has a tapered fit so it's snug but comfortable...at least for me.

I had a problem with that: when I brought my pinky down quickly, often my ring finger would come down with it. Must be the way my hand was made.

Hi John, awesome lesson! Question, is that the Ariel Posen Rockslide you use for your pinky? I use ring currently, but want to try a good pinky slide. Thanks!

Yes, it is and I love it. I switched from ring to pinky a couple of years ago for a couple of reasons, as a teacher it helped me to remember what 'new' feels like :) plus then I could have more fingers behind the slide for fretting.

No it's not easy. I have the same issue with the glass bottleneck. I use it from time to time on "Little Red Rooster". Nothing's like the blues... Thanks John 🎶🎶🎶

It is, indeed. I was just playing mine a bit ago! His is the model g9201 (it has a biscuit cone!). I was actually just playing mine, this morning - the g9221. Very similar guitar but slightly different appearance. g9221 has a spider cone and a pickup in it. I LOVE mine! =) It was a xmas gift a couple months ago.

@@MrPeak111 Awesome! I ordered some HB resonator from Thomann because they do not ship the Honey Dipper to my country, but then I found out that Sweetwater ship it so I canceled the Thomann order just to get the Honey Dipper. I'm gonna get it in the next week or so :)

Really dig my Honey Dipper. It took me a minute to get used to the V shape neck but I absolutely love it.

@@BluesGuitarInstitute It feels really nice, to me! Hey, btw, a question if you have a moment - I know it's sort of 'normal' that many, many resonators(even brand-new, round neck like ours) can have intonation issues. I also know you've taken yours apart to swap cones. My intonation is sharp while fretting the 12th fret but good intonation up to the 7th'ish fret. How is the intonation on yours? I got mine while we were at Sweetwater in Fort Wayne, IN and didn't even think to check intonation. Do you suppose a minor tightening on the Truss Rod would be okay to help intonate things a bit better? Obviously, I'd turn the truss rod just tiny bits at a time and dial it back if it started buzzing at *all* near the headstock. Just looking for a possible opinion from yourself or other viewers if you might have a moment! I almost want to loosen the strings and see if i can slide the Spider back a bit towards the bridge end of the guitar but i'm scared to try it. lol Love your channel, thanks for the videos! edit: i'm definitely gonna do new strings before i touch anything else, for sure. Hopefully it's just the strings but i'm not willing to hold my breath and might have to try the truss rod, anyway. hehe
