@@GreenEmperor Okay so basically when you go into any shrine there are these paterns thatare orange circles conected to lines. In this specific shrine there is a bunch of them on the wall ahead. With the clue "look to the stars" it is talking about these paterns as they are meant to look like constalations. In the room there is 5 holes infront of a "constallation" symbol and then tourches from the number 1 all the way down to 5. You count the number of a patern and then but the ball in one of the holes. Sat there is 4 triangle shapes, you put the ball in the triangle shape row, 4 down. Do this for each.

I think my worst BOTW experience was when my horse was killed by a guardian on my first playthrough (I was playing in 2019 but was almost totally unaware of spoilers or anything so I definitely ended up finding out your horse can die the hard way). I'll be the first to admit I cried, Celeste was my first horse and I lost her in a flash of light and there was nothing I could do. Then I found the horse god and I cried for a different reason! Got her back and she's still my trusty steed even though I do have the white horse and the giant horse, I just love Celeste.

Good lord I'm so glad I wasn't the only one who struggled with it. The first time I got to this shrine I did put together that the wall in front of me was the key but my brain couldn't figure out how. And the more I looked at the patterns, the worse my confusion got. I was halfway to the solution but because the constellations would be at different angles from the ones in front of where you put the orbs, it failed to fully click into place. I looked this shrine up the first few times before I finally figured out I was actually overthinking the whole thing. Now on my semi-annual playthrough it's really no trouble at all. Its nice knowing i wasnt the only one who had serious problems with this shrine lmao. I also looked it up. But my worst experience was FREAKING ROOM 10 of the beginning trials in master mode. Im sure im not the only one who has horrible memories of this room lol

I solved this shrine completely by accident. I thought I understood what to do, so I did it, and it worked. I looked it up to see if what I did was right, and turns out, no. It definitely wasn’t… I just got extremely lucky 😂

I mostly understood immediately what they wanted from me in all the shrines. I've been playing Zelda since the NES area. This shrine here frustrated me to no end. I did what HG did and looked up and at the walls. After a few days I finaly decided to ask one of my buddies to explain to me where to look.

It certainly took me a while to figure it out since I was looking at the star designs that label each strip of holes and hadn't even noticed the stars on the far wall lol I spent forever trying to count the individual stars, number of line segments, etc. I think someone actually had to point out the far wall with all the stars which was the biggest OH moment

I think my worst singular experience was during the fireblight fight when I was struggling to keep up with the fight while figuring out what I was doing to cause the bomb arrows to blow up immediately. I'm still ashamed that I blew myself up more than twice.

This was funny and I agree 100% about this shrine. There was NOTHING about those constellations that stood out more than the 100's that litter every shrine otherwise. Granted it didn't almost make me rage quit on poor Zelda, but still, I hear ya!

i loved this shrine but I'm into silly little puzzles but i struggled a TON with anything that required large amounts of environmental manipulation though totally understandable for this one to throw someone through a loop, it's very different from basically every other shrine

I didn’t understand this shrine either when I first got to it. I had to look up an explanation and when I understood it all I could think is how simple and easy it is when you know the method.

My worst BotW experience was in the DLC. Thanks to the DLC I replayed the entire game in hard mode (enemies heal after a few seconds of not being damaged, are scaled up one level from what they were originally, player receives double damage, among other things), another thing that comes with the DLC are the Trials of the Sword. This trial is the thing that broke me, because with imagination, planning, and overall intelligence, it is possible to have a great and enjoyable challenge EXCEPT for one section during the Intermediate Trial: The terrain is mostly aquatic with a few Lizalfos' docks to the sides that hold a few resources and one main dock at the center with normally two black lizalfos; however, I was playing in Hard mode, so they actually were Silver Lizalfos, at first glance this seems like an insignificant change, but no, this was the bane of my enjoyment with the game. For starters the difference between Black and Silver lizalfos are HUGE in terms of health, beacuse black lizalfos have 288 hp, while silver have...864!! Remember, in the trial of the sword, equipment is limited and it requires to be used with a lot more thought than in the overworld, AND it wasn't just one they were TWO of them. I spent DAYS trying everything to deal with them, most of the time I ran out of equipment and had nothing but bombs to fight them, until eventually I either restarted or just let them kill me. Eventually I got part of the strategy using an ice lance to freeze both of them and center the figth to just one freezing it and then hitting it with another weapon to deal more damage, and freeze it again, but even then the lance broke eventually and the cycle began anew. ALL of this and I haven't mentioned that most of the time they would fall in the water and that would mean that they had free range to attack me and I couldn't deal them real significant damage. This part of the game almost made me just leave the game forever, I was even mad, because the developers clearly designed everything perfectly for two black lizalfos to be there and have some room for how the player used their equipment with some margin of error, but when doing the Hard Mode they just lazily upscaled to Silver Lizalfos and called it a day. At the end I thought "there has to be a way" and looked for a guide, there, I had one step (the freezing stuff), what I was missing was the fact that eventually I required to throw them at the water and spam arrows until they died and to not miss most of them or else you were doomed. This, this is what I did not liked, because the solution wasn't something intelligent, or really satisfactory, it was just spam an attack hoping that you will not run out of arrows, because either you wasted your equipment or the lizalfos cured themselves and now you wouldn't have had enough equipment to kill them. At the end I did it, I got through that section and was afraid of more situations like that coming in the rest of the Intermediate and Advanced Trials, but no, the rest were as enjoyable as the rest of the game and I was relieved. Turns out that just only that part of the game is complete S**T, and I'm glad it was over (never playing the Trials of the Sword EVER again in Hard Mode, just because of that part).

The Kami Omuna Shrine - Moving Targets from the Champion's Ballad DLC. This was on technically my 3rd playthrough of the game (I never beat my second playthrough. It was master mode and on the Wii u but then my Wii u died lol) and I am CONVINCED that the motion controls on the switch are significantly worse than on the Wii u, because I had done this shrine TWICE before and don't remember the rage I felt the third time, and the only time on the switch. The trial to get the the shrine was fine. The first half of the shrine was fine. But the part where you have to move the thing to get the ball THROUGH it to the switch behind it was the worst thing that's happened to me probably ever (that's an exaggeration but it didn't feel like it at the time). I was standing in the middle of the living room turning in slow circles contorting my body in ways I didn't know I could do in order to try to maneuver the stupid hecking thing in the way of the switch. The frustration of Monk Maz Koshia on Master Mode doesn't even come close to the rage I felt doing this stupid shrine on the switch. (Again, I don't remember hating it THAT much when I originally did it or did it the second time in the Wii u)

My worst time playing the game was on my first play through, I was doing the quest where you need to get the shock arrows by the lynel, (Ruta was my first divine beast) but i missed the part where it said that the Zora armor can go up water falls, so I climbed the walls myself. While it was raining. And it wouldn’t stop because I didn’t beat Waterblight yet. It took hours. But I thought that was how you do it. Now everytime I replay BOTW I remember this moment and laugh.

My worst experience in Zelda has to be the end of Twilight Princess. Hold on! I love the ending and the final battles are probably my favorite finale in the whole series. No, it's because I bought a used version of TP and everything was perfectly fine until I was fighting Ganon and I was just about to beat the game, but my version simply wouldn't let me defeat him and I was beyond angry and sad. But then I heard about this fishing pole glitch and once I tried it out I beat the game!😋

I watched my brother play this game for the first time, and I had no interest in playing it myself, until I saw this shrine. He had been stuck on it for a while and I had a crack at it and succeeded, because I've been playing escape games ever since they were available in app form. I'm wired for this, I live for this. That shrine made me want to play Breath of the Wild myself, and I did, only to discover there were no other shrines like this one. Still a good game, though.

It's laid out so clearly though, huh? You walk in and up the stairs, read the sign, look ahead, look right, look left, see you have to count things, and piece together that it's the "stars" on the walls

I agree, that puzzle was cryptic, and I did look up and outside to the stars as you did as well, but I thankfully figured it out on my own, I forgot how long it took but it wasn't more than an hour. The sign should've said look forward toward the constellations so we know which stars they are referring to.

In a similar vein, my least favourite shrine (not including the Guardian combat shrines) is the Dueling Peaks pair. It was the first time I said "screw it" and just looked up the solutions

I remember being so confused by this shrine too. I can't remember how I did it in my first playthrough but when I played again in Master Mode I had it incomplete for the longest time. Then about a year ago I found out moon jumps exist and just did that instead of dealing with the puzzle. My worst experience of BotW was probably trying to defeat Thunderblight Ganon in Master Mode in the DLC refight. That frustrated me so much-

this shrine came to me pretty quickly, but on the other hand, I didn't figure out simple shit like shield parrying and basic combat until I was 3 divine beasts in. I avoided major tests of strength like the plague for a good month lmfao

I am a casual gamer, the most casual gamer. I use story mode whenever possible, guides are basically always used, enemies still beat my ass when i’m on story mode The shock arrow lynel before Vah Ruta. I hate him. He killed me 10 times. I gave up, explored the entire map looking for a village that sells shock arrows. I bought Lurelin Village’s entire stock. I beat waterblight first try. but the fucking Lynel is what got me I returned to the damn lynel after about 30 hours ingame and just spammed him with bomb arrows using a double shot bow and stasis. He still killed me once, but I got my revenge.

My worst single BotW experience was right off the Plateau. I had been warned about Mr. Talus and decided to avoid the road because I am a LotR fan. Did you know there is a shooting gallery between two Guardian Stalkers on the direct line between the Plateau and Kakariko? Worst general experience was taking forever to get to the northern half of the map because I started following roads and kept missing essential turns because of missing those parts of the map (plus noping back across Tabantha Bridge when the Skywatchers hit draw distance).

I feel like a lot of people had trouble with this one because they expect it to be a lot more complicated than it is, so they keep trying to figure out all these difficult ways to possibly solve it. Meanwhile, I’m stupid, so my brain immediately thought “Haha counting the symbols go brrrrr” and it actually worked…
