Also a few things, by double clicking the M on the handle bars you can access the settings and change the settings for the battery display, it does climb hills fairly well but not steep ones, it hits 55 mph for lighter riders and be wary of the back bolts that hold the tire, they like to come loose during rides.. add some loctite. These are specs coming from the top 2.0 version though.

My bike is capable of 28mph but I set it for 20. I can't do it by myself, but I'm trying to delay the day when too many people complain about "bicycles" going faster than legal, and they pass laws to register and license ebikes. Also, the jerks tearing up the hiking trails I like to ride don't seem to understand that there aren't any "No Karens" signs at the forest preserve, so don't annoy the Karens or they'll complain and we'll all get kicked off the trails...!

Which is why it’s best to play nice with people. If you’re forced to ride on the sidewalk then you have to be accommodating and move over for people. Basically more considerate. When I see people on trails or if it’s packed with people I make it a point to slow down. I prefer slow and controller movements than speeding. Or stopping at stop signs to show that you’re no threat and that you don’t ride recklessly. You’d have to be doubly smart and know how to work and handle your speeds since you ride much slower than traffic. My top speed is 30mph BUTi increased it’s torque so I can get to 30 much quicker. The increased torque allows me to move from dead much easier and allows me to move quicker at lights and stop signs.

Agreed, though at this configuration (20S15P), you'd really have to go for the el cheapo parts to hit $2500 though. A frame that came with good warranty and decent welding and powder coating set me back 600 euros at Vector Ebike in Europe, and a reliable controller that would be able to push that battery would be a cool 400 euros. With 4 euros a piece for decent cells, my virtual voice slave converted that to exactly $2500 -- with no hub motor, front or rear suspension, saddle, wheels, brakes, ...

@@DeAndre1970 Well no it is not basic business, most company's design or make their own product and then sell it at a reasonable profit or they import and then sell at a reasonable profit, and they try to balance retail price to be fair to the customer and retain a decent profit margin because most decent company's are smart enough to know that if you blatantly over charge a customer for a product they will eventually find out and word will get around , company's like this one in the video and as you pointed out there are a few, will import a cheap generic product from china brand it then claim they made it then claim its special in some way ( like the GB record thing ) and then massively mark it up to see what suckers they can catch and they catch many that think they are buying something american made or special when in reality they are simply being over charged. As i pointed out this exact bike is around $3200 individual or as low as $2500 for bulk purchases of 20 units or more, and a company like this would bulk order so they basically got it for $2500 but selling for $6600 to give the impression of a premium product, that's around a 167% mark up and even factoring in import costs that is simply an obscene price. Except for one thing, the motor wattage far exceeds the limit's for an e bike in a lot of states to ride on public roads. Regardless of speed and pedals, the size of the motor made it a motorcycle. It will require running lights, a tag holder, turning signals, etc. and registration, license tag, and insurance. In addition the rider will have to pass a motorcycle written test, obtain a learning permit or pass driving test to get the motorcycle endorsement their drivers license. If you get caught without change to the bike, registration and insurance on the public streets in Ohio, you risk it being seized under section 59 of the Police Reform Act. No learning permit or endorsement, and expensive ticket. Some police jurisdiction are enforcing the law on e bikes that exceed the motor limits or speed and finding profit from the tickets and seizures.

The State of Ohio requires registration on anything with a motor that is on the road, mopeds included. But they consider e-bikes that go no faster than 20MPH to be a bicycle and they don't require them to be registered. My bike tops out around 23 or 24mph so I don't have it registered. Ohio even registers golf carts, it's crazy. They just want to get as many 50 dollar registrations a year that they can get. My home state of CT didn't register anything that you didn't need a license to ride, like Mopeds that didn't go over 30mph. Now CT is trying to force registrations on Dirt bikes / mini bikes / quads. So that really cool bike in Ohio would require registration.

Controversial opinion but I don’t like it. For a cheaper price you can get a Ninja 400 that’s an actual sport motorcycle that tops out around 120mph not 50. 6600 is kinda ridiculous for a bike like that tbh

I want to disengage the pedals and move them to the same height . It is very uncomfortable for me to have the seat high enough to have the pedals fit my legs . Then I can’t touch the ground. I’m 5’6 and hate the pedals. Delfast said it’s easy to do. Just need to find someone locally .

72 volt battery - should be faster than it is. main power 3000W (peak power might reach to 6000W). Torque: 182N.m Are you sure there wasn't a setting you can change to give it more torque?

those mirrors suck, they cause too much wind drag and in high wind gusts can affect your steering, first time charging battery pack for ebike, leave on charger for 12 hours, even if it says charged, never charge them and then use them right away... always give 30 minutes or so after charging... first 10 cycles of battery pack are VERY important... DO NOT disrupt the charging for the first 10 cycles.... do not charge them directly after hard use, give them 30 minutes to cool down... first 10 cycles you MUST fully charge all the way... after the 10 cycles you can charge as you please... 2 wheel drive... is awesome..... been riding a custom built one for over 10 years and several models... just remember, sometimes custom built means custom pain in the arse....

I heard something similar that it takes a few cycles to get it up to full capacity, never knew that when I got my first batteries. Didn't know you had to go to 100% more than the first time though ( to balance the cells ). This all runs contrary to what most people say which is stay within 20% to 80%.

I have the same sort of thing and got at best 45 miles out of it in the autumn time when it was around 15c, so probably a maximum range of 50 to 60 miles with my current config, if I changed to smoother narrower tyres with more rounded shape I could make get 25% more range ? so perhaps 75 miles, and thats with a battery that claims to be 40 amp hours. In reality you won't get the last 5 amp hours or so because the voltage sag is so huge that at around 66v the bike starts shutting off in assist level 1 and I have to take the side panel off to access the circuit breaker. I have no clue how this Delfast company could have gotten 200 miles.

@@TheInja I look forward to seeing your long range test if you are still going to do it ! your Delfast bike is way better than my DIY one, I have no fenders, mirrors, kickstand, turn signals, light controls. By your speed I guessed your bike is putting out 100 amps, my battery is limited to 50 amps. Battery is really important for these bikes, but a good battery costs over £1000 in our money, as much as an entire budget 1500w e-bike.
