Hey Ivan, do you know anyone who does solar sales virtually who would be looking to partner up with a solar marketer? I have inbound solar appointments but no one with a virtual sales process who is skilled enough to close them. I don't want to do the closing myself because I'd rather focus on perfecting the marketing. Thanks in advance

Been doing solar for two years and had about 150 installs with my sales company. They switched to a Rev Share Comp plan and it drastically reduced my commissions. I was making $2000-3000 per deal installed . I looked into signing up directly with installers as a dealer and now have three amazing solar installers in Vegas that have amazing customer reviews. Now I make $6000+ per deal installed and is way less stressful. Going EPC direct is definitely the move if you ALREADY have the sales skills. 🎉🎉🎉.

Signing with a solar company is a great way to learn the ropes. You can learn and observe how they close deals and structure systems. Once you learn the ropes and start closing deals, then absolutely go solo and team up with a great installer.

So I’m new to solar and just about to start with a company in California, I ain’t say there name here being I’m a new employee. I had about a week before orientation starts and they gave us the blue print on door to door sales what to say and the steps..I started to do research and your channel seems very up front and you seem transparent and well informed. So I have 12 ppl that want solar Fer sure and another 6 on the fence and this was just within the week. After I saw the numbers I sent him learned the blueprint and acted with a attitude of conviction and I believe built up a ready to go list , my friends and family because if the savings. I’m working from the blue print they gave me in terms of teeing up the sale for them..but after your video is this the smartest idea. I even have other friends and family who want to work in the industry after I showed them how much i could be paid. But it sounds like it’s up to them wen I get my solar license? So a few questions would help me out so much because now you got me on the fence on what I should do. I’ve done this all on my own so far. I have orientation on zoom for a few days where they want me to get leads via, the utility bill and I did that. Prior to this I have a degree in mechanical engineering, would I be able to figure this out on my own? Absolute transparency with you I have 10 ppl with homes in CA, I have a big family who are all professionals and want solar. And there kids want to also jump on the wagon after I told them about the earning potential. And I’m sure my family will spread word if it makes sense. So what should I do. I’m totally new to solar, I have a degree in mechanical engineering and taking classes in business on the side. So how should i approach it. I’m positive those sales are in the bag,and I know I wouldn’t be getting the sales cuz they said I don’t have my solar license. Wha should I do,

I see solar sales in Lowe’s or Costco. They want you to memorize pitch. Then you get low hourly wage but promise commission. Yet unless you first get the opportunity you get nothing unless customer signs up to get something. Then get more for a sale. Lots of walking for little pay. Lots of retail sales associate turn over.

Difference is, the solar companies will be local, and the connection i made lives in NY (im in FL). He agreed to help close initial sales for me in the beginning (all remotely), and I have some money in investments that i can use to hold me over until my first paycheck... just not sure which route to go. To be honest. i did solar for a month, just to try it out & well I didn’t like it. 1. People are just playing rude. 2. You don’t know if your going to get a gun pointed at you. 3. You really gotta work on your pitch. 4. Be aware which neighborhood you’ll be knocking. 5. Beware if you do get appointment, don’t get your hopes up because there is high a chance that the owner will not be at that appointment. 6. Your going to need knock on lots of doors. I do believe that the pay is good, but I knew it wasn’t for me. But i do wish the best for the ones to find this as a career. All the best.

You start with 70-80 a day. But eventually you want to aim for $100/day as your minimum.
