@@qsi4xs588 idolizing is putting something above God. An example in this case being if an influencer said something and you take it as radical truth than the Bible then your idolizing them, Also if instead of going to God in prayer or reading the word of Hod your just thinking about what the influencer could have done, then that’s idolizing. Instead of saying what would Jesus do, your like what would “influencer “ do. That and more is idolization

facts. I don't like when ppl idolize christians who are famous, cuz in the end we are all human and our worth is all the same in gods sight. I would say its okay to watch them to inspire or even grow in faith as long as you keep in mind they are just human as well as you.

if you remove the god part, this is a lesson for everyone. stop idolizing people, it will only hurt you. the day will come that your idol does something you disagree with and if you are unlucky, it wont only make you question your idol but the whole concept this person embodied. thats how love turns into hate.

Really need to stop using such titles, they are a tad scummy although I know it is not his intention

I don’t agree with everything you said. I do agree though that a more older mature Christian is better to take advice from than a 18 year old. There’s a lot of teenager/young adults who got saved not too long ago and are are acting like credible sources. That’s a good point you made. With so many young Christians who are still maturing and forming their theology there’s a lot of confusing and contradictory content posted on social media. A Christian who’s been in the faith for way longer and has years of study of Gods Word is the go to for theological teaching and advice. Thanks for sharing that point a lot of people need to understand that.

Everytime I see them I usually hear something I disagree with because I also study the bible on my own. So its easy for me not to idolize when I know they are just regular humans that are also on the same journey of finding truth and can get some things wrong. Some I dont disagree with on the biblical interpretations (such as the answers in genesis crowd) but I can see how their hearts are too invested into politics/nationalism which also tells me I shouldn't align my self completely with their teachings.

Well, let me say this as a Christian. I will definitely follow every Christian on social media to keep non Christian content off my page. So it goes back to me, I have to have my own journey with God. And if others are spreading whatever on social media, let Christians also spread the gospel. I will never blame my fall as a Christian on another, it’s my salvation. We take Jesus as a personal Lord and Savior and that Jesus is found in scriptures. So regardless of what people are preaching online the gospel has the truth. I ain’t against Christian influences because they are choosing to bring Christ to the world regardless of how whether mature on not. But my brother, it’s wrong in the first place to assume someone is perfect or got it right because of their social media content. That’s like 1% of someone’s life for you to conclude such. So personally I can’t blame my fall on an influencer never. Lastly if others are using social media for God knows what, let Christians also use it to bring the gospel to people. Pray for discernment and God will guide you❤
