I feel like you’re saying everything I did wrong in my 22 year marriage... I was thinking I was a woman in the 50’s. He works I stay home with kids. He left me for a woman that was more of a teammate. I wish I had a clue..like your videos back then. Now I’m alone in my 50’s to start life over. I love your videos!!! Such great advice!!!

Having a goal or common interest really does help the bond in a relationship. We started a veggie garden. And when harvested our first crop of tomatoes and used them in our dinner we had a mini celebration in our kitchen lol. We now spend lots of time together in our backyard.

Practical and actionable advice! A good test date is making dinner together. How do you work together? What kind of contribution does the other person make? If you're making them dinner, do they offer to make/bring a dessert or wine? Seems like a small thing, but most of life is made up of the small moments. Finding someone to share and enjoy those small moments with can make all the difference.

This makes so much sense! Something had changed in my new boyfriends and I relationship and you helped me find what it was! We were looking at cabins together to buy - for air bnb investment - I had no money, but I invested my time, interest and energy into it. It felt like we were a real team. It had to slow down because he couldn’t afford what was out there, but now it makes sense why we felt stronger as a couple then!

Thank you so much for sharing this very wise video. That a couple makes it together by being a team makes so much sense. It so obvious that you'd almost forget that truth. My boyfriend talked starting talking about that this weekend. About lifting each other up, about sharing and educating each other in love, health, life and business. About discovering each other's strengths and weaknesses and utilizing those in our life's. After coincidentally running into this video, what he said makes even more sense to me now. I am very grateful he started that talk this weekend and happy to have seen this video so soon after. By the way, finally someone who dares to be realistic enough to talk about finance when it comes to love relationships! Thank you!

I have heard this put another way but basically saying the same thing - having a goal for the relationship. Something that you are doing together and building and creating which helps you grow and change and develop and learn together. The person I am interested has shared interest about having goals around gardening and learning about healthy living. So if this develops into a relationship I know what our goals will be.

I am going to mull over how to seek out men who would want to "co-create a planetary smile" (Barbara Marx Hubbard) with me....something I really want in a partner and have been hesitant to reveal/put out there on a dating profile. Any ideas from you about how to look for these type of candidates is helpful. And, you can forget about going to activities and communities around these type of things...it is like 1single man to at least 20 women at these events.

Brian, I need your advice on bringing up exes. My bf and I have been dating for 4 months. He recently brought up that he was feeling guilty about thinking he still has feelings for his ex. She comes around his job once a week and I’m sure they chat and what not. We’re kinda in limbo right now. I’m waiting for him to make up his mind, I didn’t break it off right away because he hasn’t given me a reason to and he is an honest guy. I have a feeling that I end up being alone. But he reassures me that we’re gonna be okay. It sucks because I really like this guy and he really likes me (his actions prove this).

@@Lavida-melody 😔 My case: My friend is being "good and nice" to me these days, because I think I am not communicating properly with him. ( I used to try talking to him, but he only answered to the questions I used to ask and send occassional memes to me ) Him being good to me gives me hopes but I remember the past few months... he tagged his EX in an Instagram picture with a beautiful quote "seek what sets your soul on fire", he even said he wanted her but she does not want him back now, he also commented on a girls picture recently with whom I am sure he has a history. 😢 Doubts keep surrounding my mind, but my heart keeps wanting him. Cannot let go. Damn it.

@@muktasp30 you are simply not his priority. Make yourself your own priority! Become less available to him, not in spite. Discover things outside this relationship that you enjoy. Some call this using femine energy...lean back a bit. Detach & clear your mind. Pray for discernment. These feelings are not love. If he's seeking attention from other females then take it as a sign and prepare to move forward with your life....a happier, healthier version of it ;)
