I'm so glad I listened to this podcast. YOU do not know what you are talking about, and you say it in a way that is extremely immature. Truly you need to EDUCATE yourself on MLM's. Corporate America is a SCAM, the people at the top make all the money. I know... I work in it. I also get involved in MLM's because people I know are using the products and they are "testimony" it works. MLM's exist for YEARS like Mary Kay and Avon because WORD OF MOUTH are the best way to share and are WELL KNOWN and successful. If I use a product and i like it, and I tell my friend, they trust what I say, right?? If you recommend a Restuarant to someone, will you get PAID? a FREE Meal?? NOOOO you do not. But you just told someone about something and they TRUST your opinion so they will likely go eat there. Sharing any products in MLM can do two things, EARN you money or get you enough money to buy your own product or get you products at a discount, you don't have to sell if you don't want too. If you are a REP, you are the marketing...people that USE the product and LOVE IT market it, thats free advertising. They don't need a brick-and-mortar store which by the way has been in Europe, successfully. Hello... look at AMAZON?? What happened during covid when you couldn't go out?? you had to buy online, that's what people have resorted too. They don't have the earnings because when you did this report, they hadn't been an MLM that long... so there weren't numbers to use... have you TRIED the product?? Rather then shooting it down?? I have, it changed my skin DRAMTICALLY.. more then ANY other product I used AND they have a 365 day Guarantee! Tell me a company that OFFERS that??? If you are going to review a company and tell people it's a scam, you may want to know the facts... and actually have tried the product. BY THE WAY, I am NOT A REP for OLIVEDA yet, but after this... I am going to be, let me know if you want some skincare. Peace.

It's interesting that most of the competition they mention isn't other MLM wellness/beauty brands, the only one I recognized is AVON. Considering how many of these MLM brands claim to be the "best in the world" in wellness/beauty/etc or "part of a multi-billion dollar industry" it's interesting how few of them even come up as noteworthy competition in this document...

It would be interesting if you did a video on Rain International. I broke up with an ex because they joined that MLM and then a legit doomsday cult. I couldn't really give them any facts and evidence about why exactly it's a bad company besides "you're going to lose all your money", and then they just said they could work hard and make it back. For some reason it wasn't a red flag to them that they had to take out a loan to buy the starter package. I went with them to a meeting once, and the sales people were saying that they had clients who had cancer go away, or it cured blindness and it was just so creepy. One lady sat down and said that she could "cure" my chronic illness (the fact that my ex told a stranger all that private medical info was so gross). My ex wasn't very well off and honestly not the sharpest knife in the drawer, and they preyed on them because of those things, it was heartbreaking that I couldn't do anything to help.

Back when you made this video, they weren’t even a month old yet in the US. And the US market is the only market to have the direct selling option. It’s been a brick and mortar business with their own stores and in high end spas in Europe for 20 years. Also, the price point has always been that way and they’re produced biodynamically through biodynamic farming. This process along with the extreme potency of the bioactive ingredients and them sourcing it in their own groves and farms, makes for a higher price point BUT there’s no water so they last for MONTHS.

Have seen these products in Austria and Germany in normal drug stores in the organic high end section. Saw the prices and was not interested. Also the products are so vaguely described. Now the fun fact: in our drug stores the products just cost a third of the price they have on the US webside of the MLM olive tree wierdos. For example their F08 cream costs 65$ on the MLM website and around 20$ on an Austrian drugstore web shop.... that just tells me MLMs are never about the product... its just fluff on top of their sceme....

I am not even a part of this company - I came to do some research and you said a few things that confused me a bit: You think influencers deserve to get paid for their efforts, but that mlm’s are a scam? An mlm is just a bunch of influencers getting paid. I believe the company pays out 25% - 35% commission, no? Feels like a lot to me. Unless I’m wrong about that. You think it’s more morally righteous for a company to pay marketers / influencers who have never used a company’s product to create marketing material that is 100% created and manipulated by the company versus the actual company’s customers recommending and paying them instead? I’ve never understood people’s disdain for mlm’s - it has always felt more morally aligned to me. You say that nothing really stands out about them but aren’t they the only major company that doesn’t use water as the first ingredient? I’ve personally never heard of hydroxytyrosol before, so that stands out to me for sure. And it’s a “major major red flag” that they pay people to build teams? But, why? Every company ever 1. Is built like a pyramid, those at the top profiting more and 2. Has to sell their product, either by paying marketers to do so or paying customers to do so. The point about them branching out to major storefronts, and that hurting the mlm-ers, was a good point. I’ll have to look into that more. Anyway, if you can provide clarity on the above, lmk!

I remember during pandemic, I was in every "student jobs" Facebook groups desperately looking for a side job, and a LOT of the announcements where hidden MLM. They wouldn't directly describe their activities, but just saying that they were looking for students to work. Of course I signed up to get more infos, and some lady contacted me, sending me vocals about what I will have to do. My "job" consisted to drop ship every kind of products for some brand to my family, friends... creating social medias accounts to promote the products, take courses, to sell, and would get a percentage of the money.. Of course, I first had to buy a starter pack! At this time I was gullible and not very informed about MLM, but I knew that I'm terrible at marketing, especially if I don't know shit about the products, I don't have a platform and knew that having to pay for working is a big red flag. + My ex once told me that he lost his trust in one of his friend who was in a MLM, because he would always message him to sell his shit. I applied to a job to gain money, not to lose it and lose my friends along for an activity I didn't like. So I finally told the lady that, if I had to make this kind of efforts, I'd rather sell my own creations. And that was it. I'm grateful that I didn't joined! I ended up working in a clothing store which was actually money laundering (I didn't know anything at this time and really needed a job). And even though I was really underpaid, I'm sure I earned more than if I applied to the MLM
