I strongly support this kind of learning center. It truly seems like these tutors care and support their students. I only hope that these kinds of places pop up more and more over the years. As soon as you mentioned the "lounge" bit for kids waiting for their turn, I thought it'd be an interesting idea to hook them to the feed of the streamer. This idea you immediately shared after, but would it be a good idea to take it just a step further? The kids watching the streamer can provide feedback to that streamer. That way, the streamer gets immediate feedback from those closer to their age (and not just from the tutor/mentor), plus it's a good way for both the streamer and the 'viewers' to look at both perspectives _and_ to learn how to provide and receive constructive feedback. Just my two cents.

This is so cool! I'd volunteer to help you out if I was in the area, but I'm not. I would have love this as a kid. It actually reminded me of something I had in highschool where a local tech company had us come and learn about things. In my case I learned about JAVA. I had a friend that was learning hardware and robots and stuff. I actually thought about participating in that, but I don't live there anymore.

I think that raspberry pi could be a good idea. The keyboard one has projects for kids if I remember correctly

Raspberry pi can be immensely powerful and a great learning tool. Built an AI robot using a raspberry pi with photocells to traverse a course on the floor with obstacles

This may just be my favorite video of yours. This is absolutely incredible. Massive props to the sponsors, and the other people volunteering their time. I hope this takes off all over the country!!!!

This is fantastic. Have you considered how to handle quickly re-imaging the computers when something gets borked, or you just want to ensure that all the machines are set up identically for an esports tournament? Maybe you need a server or NAS to help with management.

Wow, wow, wow !! Well done Jayz and the whole team. I am sure others have had similar endeavors. I'd ask you to look at the educational strength that other countries are mastering. We sit too far behind. I pray for your success here. So my suggestion is to find the right group, and lobby for a piece of that notorious infrastructure bill. These fun types of centers should be dotting this great country of ours. As well as other educational fun centers. The American way. And you can start it Jay. Go ahead, level up. Question though,. Is silicon valley real?

Jay, this is awesome! Not only what you’re doing, but the entirety of that community-center! Super proud that so many people and brands came together to provide a place for kids and their family members to enjoy their time together! So many kids aren’t able to bond and strengthen their relationship with their parents. It’s a very critical to have strong bonds!

Well done Jay, we need more of this. I've been trying to teach kids 7 - 9 programming at my sons school using Raspberry pi and python. As hard as it is, I love seeing kids faces when something works.

Man I wish this was a project near my city cause I’ve been wanting to livestream but my parents are so insecure about it and teaching them with a way more experienced streamer/content creator

My first thought about that project was: Jay's doing a Louis, hurray! Not as in the Right-To-Repair-Movement (altough one could argue that teaching people to build a computer goes a long way in teaching them how to repair the bloody thing) but as in distributing knowledge to other people. I really like the idea of a maker space dedicated to teaching people about IT topics. I only hope that people will make use of this offer and that Jay's online gravitas helps to build some pull IRL. My guess would be that most of their regular viewers and subscribers are not located in the area...

The biggest issues is indoctrination and not teaching critical thinking but instead teaching what to think.
