Snagged one of these from Sweetwater when they did the $19 sale. It's so good! Punches well above its weight. That secret mode is fun!

Darn right! Behringer gets a lot of hate, but not from me. I think they have some very cool stuff at a great price.

Just got one of these off Amazon when they were finally back in stock. Wicked. Gets me the Cramps fuzz tones I was looking for. And as always, great demo of this cool little piece of gear.
Yeah, it sounds like this is what they were using for sure.

This video is probably the best use of this pedal I've heard yet. I bought one over a year ago and used it on one recording -- a guitar solo emulating a 60s psychedelic fuzz tone vibe with some harmony parts -- and it worked an absolute treat. But since then I've not been able to really work this pedal in with anything else (I don't play anything even close to drop-tuning metal, but your riffs sound spot-on here). Octave fuzz is a tricky effect because you can't really play more than two notes in a chord before it becomes a total mess, but you're nailing it. And I completely forgot about the boost mode. I need to get this pedal back out of the drawer and give it another shot. It was so inexpensive that I already feel that I got my money's worth with a good result on a recording that worked well and even got some fairly decent local radio airplay for a time. But the less said about the battery compartment access the better. A simply bizarre set-up with fiddly plastic push-in points that feel that they're about to break at any minute. But again, for the price, it's impossible to complain.

This, as far as I know, is one of the most popular pedals in the Behringer catalogue. I have some boutique versions of the Super Fuzz circuit, and this pedal hangs with them without a problem. What I like about this circuit is that it can be both Vintage and modern, depending on the style you play. At this price point, I'm thinking of buying another one just as a backup. ;)

I saw another show where the guy bought all the different Behringer models and played them side by side with the big brands they were imitating. One was the Vintage Tube Overdrive which was a Ibanez Tube Screamer knockoff. That guy couldn't tell the difference and neither could I. For $24 delivered from Sweetwater, I bit on it. Works great!

It's discontinued, man. 😔 I just got lucky, a Guitar tech had one for cheap. It's a clone of the Boss PS-5 but tracks better than the Boss. The harmony settings are hit n miss, but it kills as a de facto Whammy.

I still find the right fuzzes to still be the most dynamic of distortion designs that with the right one, you get good slosh, trash and grunge just as well as dynamic range that cleans up for shredding solos and arpeggios. I'm in the process of my own fuzz design from the ground up, and it's better than I had hope and yet still far from finished.

@@TheToneLounge I'm hoping to release it by the end of this month, and send BeersnGearsOfficial channel a custom built version to demo. His channel is just starting out, but we align with a lot of the same taste in gear. If not by the end of this month, very shortly after. It will just be a basic pedal version, but my long term plan is to produce it as a full blown preamp, and ultimately, as a full-on power amp head.

The voicing of the pedal you mean? Behind the nut is a piece of foam. It's to stop sympathetic vibrations behind the nut, which causes some weird overtones.

Sometimes things fly over my head, like compliments for example lol I put a lot of time into making sure people understand what I am saying. Part of that has to do with the fact that I am a French speaker, and English is my second language, so I know that it can be hard to understand when people speak too fast. The other, is that I suffer from pretty bad hearing loss, so it's frustrating when I have to turn on the CC because I can't make out what is being said.
@nenadbozic4816

@@TheToneLounge I never would've guessed it's your second language! :o Sorry for the hearing thing, is it due to loud playing? I got some tinnitus from playing in small clubs, standing very close to drums lol Well, that's rock n roll I guess...
