Discovered the channel about a month ago and had to double take at the "Thanks for 5k" at the end. I forgot how underrated this channnel actually was. Thanks for the continued content and guidance! (Gonna go hump a boulder) 🙏

Haha thanks! Tbh I wasn’t expecting to even get this amount of traffic so I’m pretty happy, but definitely glad you feel I’m underrated :) Also have fun with that (but not too much fun)

I'd say that 5K for a channel with only a dozen videos shows how well rated and valuable it is. Keep up the great work Brandon.

I'm not sure people appreciate how thorough this channel is. Getting better at a skill/activity demands understanding of how stuff works, and you leave no room for misinterpretation in your explanations (all while showing examples at the same time). I look forward to seeing it gain steam and blow up as the climbing community continues to grow!

Thank you! This comment actually reminds me of one of the things I thought about when I first started making videos. I remembered how in college I had heard about a study where they took non soccer fans, beginner soccer players, and experienced soccer players and noticed where their attention went when watching a goal keeper. The study revealed that they all looked at different things. That study stuck with me since it's the reason I try to make sure the visual portrayal of information is as concise as possible. If I point out what I'd personally look at in any given scene then it's almost like that knowledge gap is getting bridged. This has also been a super useful perspective for me to employ when I climb with those that are better than me since it allows me to understand the differences in where our attention and priorities lie. Anyways, I still have a lot to learn about making videos, but I'm really glad that there are so many people who appreciate them already :)

i would definitely watch more. have you thought about doing more casual videos? not necessarily on a specific topic, just climbing, commentary on the used technique or just vibin

I love how you augment your videos with force lines / muscle chains. It makes so much more sense than most of the other bouldering content on KZitem. Subscribed!

Btw, in regards to your favorite resources. Have you checked out the climbing bible? If not, I totally recommend. Just picked it up, and I find it really good.

I haven't yet, but I've been meaning to. Would you recommend the original Climbing Bible, the practice book, or both?

@@BetaBoiBrandon Ive yet to check out the practice book, but if its of the same quality as the original, which I have no doubt it is, than you should pick up both for sure. Would love to see a vid of you talking about your favorite insights from them after you get the chance to read them.

This video was very interesting thank you! However I think that you are going a bit too fast in the explanations and at least for me, some of them weren't clear enough. Maybe you could explain things and concepts a bit more? I really enjoyed the video tho! Edit: especially at 2:50 - 3:00 ish
