Illness, poverty, etc. isn't always this damning, unbeatable thing you'll have to suffer with forever. There is hope that things will get better, and maybe a few things you can control to help yourself. But saying "it's a choice," "it's a mindset," is such a slap in the face and extremely unhelpful to anyone going through it. Not to mention just plain false. Spot on girl!! I was homless for many years, the first time when I was only 10 years old, and it was a hell that is hard to describe. I also have autism and 7 other disorders/diagnoses, wich made life even harder alone, I would say Most homeless people do have some diagnoses/disorders too, and it just makes is so hard to fight for yourself No one wants to be homless, I know it hard to understand when you never have been there, but many if us are just so lost and broken, loosing everything, especially when you're so young, it just breaks you. And broken is hard to fix if you dont get help, wich also is hard to get when you dont have a home... And, like it did for most of my homless brothers and sister, since the chaos started when I was so young I never learn anything else than being homless. Drugs were the only thing keeping me alive, crazily and sadly enough, but it kept me warm and alive (wich I know is also hard to understand, but there is nothing else that so effectively makes you both warm, "happy", and feeling no hunger). So it took me until just a few years ago, thanks to an amazing woman who found me and refused to get up on me, she found me no matter were I was haha, my guardian angel, to finally being able to fight myself to were I am now. In my scraggly lil apartment who I love so much, happily married with our degus(squirrely looking rats, they are half chinchilla and half gerbil haha, behaving EXACTLY like lil dogs, comes running when called on, they demand cuddles, scritches and alot of love, and I have whole lifes worth of love stored, so they are good Haha!) and most of all, sober and clean 6 years haha, I'm sooo grateful, life is so amazing, I never thought I I have such an happy life 😭 but no one in my life thought that either so, haha Okay this got waaaaay to long but that's typical me, can't just write a few words explaining my point, I blame my autism 😂 "If the world is at war, if we dont have peace, it's because we have forgotten that we belong to each other" ❤

I like how every influencer/content creator's get-rich-quick scheme is basically no different than the old school pyramid schemes... just without the corny sales catalogs and instead, wrapped in empowerment rhetoric (in this case, more of a tough love culty rhetoric). Most these courses and workshops just teach you to do what the teacher/guru is doing, which is selling basic information on how to sell stuff or make content. You'll make money as long as you can find other people to make money off of. It's just a chain of people teaching each other to be salespeople lol

I will say, these people severing all ties with family and friends doesn't really help the cult case. If a genuine cult is trying to recruit people, getting them isolated and away from their support network is one of the first steps (after love bombing and dangling some sort of "prize" in front of them). I also notice that - based entirely off the KZitem page so I could be wrong - this group is one man who has three women living with him and singing his praises. This doesn't confirm its an up and coming cult, it's just something I found odd. Like a situation that could absolutely lead to some dangerous territory, depending on what type of person the main guy is.

If you're choosing to be homeless, and you could choose not to be whenever you want, it's not really true homelessness Because one of the worst most negatively impactful aspects of homelessness is knowing you have no choice, no way out, not knowing how you'll get by the next week Having no image of the future And things improving, being stuck in that cycle, that downward spiral that stretches onwards infinitely and bleakly into an abyss Of course all the obviously bad stuff like food scarcity, no money, sleeping rough, getting robbed and attacked, cold/heat, no showers or hygiene, health issues and especially LOSING your identity etc etc is really horrific and miserable Plus the correlation with mental illness But what compounds all of that and makes it so much worse is not seeing any end to it, not having a way out or a choice in the matter, no foreseeable escape from all those things, no future... Not just from my personal experience, but very much almost a universally echoed experience in homelessness (not "deliberate" "homelessness" (??) )

She will never have that hopeless feeling & no where to turn the homeless have. Esp not in 3 hours. I seen a real elderly homeless man outside on the highway corner of the Walmart entrance. There were tornado warnings. He was trying to raise $40 for a 1 person tent. The Walmart employee & manager came all the way out to the corner of the hwy to run him off! 😡 They wanted him entirely off the Walmart property. I can't imagine the dread he must've felt. It was so sad. he was begging for change to get a tiny tent. Hoping to get $40 before it hit. Like that would protect him from a tornado, wind,& rain. It was pitiful. I came out of Walmart & couldn't find him anywhere. When it's really cold out or bad weather warnings I always think of him & all homeless.😢⛺💔

The only part you missed is in her early TikToks where she talks about doing a ton of psychedelics. It seems to me like she blew out her brain on drugs and met some rich cultish guy who saw an easy target to take advantage of. I really hope she has some friends or family that can help her, she seems like she’s in a very vulnerable situation.

Once, I went to the city for the day for two ice skating sessions, one in the afternoon (~12:30-4pm) and the other was at 9pm or so. It was the beginning of winter so it was semi-tolerable with the clothes I had on but it was still a fairly unpleasant experience. I was short on money and after I ate the dinner I packed at a park bench, I walked around the city, sometimes sitting tucked away on the ground because the places to eat in my budget had nowhere to sit. There was literally nowhere to sit (not counting the ground) outside of that little park area near the rink (that closed at sunset) unless you paid money. Even at the train station all of the seating was past the turnstiles. I ended up with a whole new outlook and understanding of how hard it must be for those stuck outside during the winter months. I don't understand how someone could feel such little empathy for the homeless after trying to put themself in their shoes. By the way, I don't consider what I did "pretending to be homeless" or anything, it just gave me a whole new understanding of how cities have been designed in such a way to make being homeless even harder than it must already be.

This is like the tiny petite woman who pretended to be fat wearing a fat suit for a few hours. She got abused by random strangers, got ignored and sneered at in stores, got sweaty and smelly in the summer heat. She also tried clothes shopping and felt humiliated at not being able to get anything in her size. Admittedly she did learn that being morbidly obese takes a toll on your body, finances, life generally etc. Though she also got to take off her 5xl body with help by the people who dressed her up and go back to her size 2 body. She got accolades and cheers for trying it out and saying it was hard and how she'd never do it again before she went back to her personal trainer at the gym.

Glad you made it out (: I am with an amazing man and my son is 5, I love my life in my tiny apartment with my tiny family and no one will ever make me feel less for having my son, I’m not used up, I’m a mother and I’m proud of my son .

I mean, homelessness is a choice, so it should be easy for them to chose not to take the easy way out and ask Daddy for more cash.

There are so many levels of homelessness that the general public doesn't understand. Yes there are outliers where there are some people who "choose" to be homeless, but it's coming from them prefer the freedom of being homeless and not having to follow rules and law or because there are too many restrictions when entering a shelter. But the vast majority of people on the street are people who need help and not short term. The videos of this group is so out of touch with the world and is definitely giving culty vibes. We do not need another NXIVM thank you very much.

One of the only family my mom has here are rich. I woke up to their bs ways when I was 13. And in 2018 I went on a school science trip to Ecuador & the Galapagos for my senior year. It was $2K. I paid most of it. My mom was bragging about it when we stayed over their house. My spoiled cousin I heard the next day as I went down to eat breakfast “they’re poor, why are they spending money?” Not verbatim but close to. She’s so spoiled. Also remember her saying poor people shouldn’t take vacation time. My immediate family is poor, my dad’s cousins & mom’s 1 family here are rich. It’s weird. 😂 my extended family on my moms side, in the Philippines are poor poor. We are American poor. My cousin are maybe 1%? Idk. We occasionally send them boxes of clothes. Once she said “we sent them boxes, why don’t they send us stuff?” Omfg 🤦🏽♂️

Not been homeless, but I've been in some very hopeless situations. I've had dead end jobs, been in abusive homes, and the stress is real. I lived with my in laws and while I wasn't paying to live there, I wasn't making enough to save or take care of my family. Then my mother in law yelled and told me to hurry up and find a house or apartment. Her family made such an environment that I couldn't use the kitchen comfortably to feed my infant child and due to covid, I wasnt allowed to see my parents without risking my housing situation. My husband and I had a falling out with my mom and step-dad at that time that led to us running to his moms. So you cannot tell me that I could have chosen to have a house of my own then. To not live in very toxic environments and have a job that paid enough that I wasn't worried if I could feed myself and my family. I can choose to have a job and I could choose to live with my mom or mother in law, but I cannot choose how much I make or to buy a house I cannot afford or that does not exist on the market.
