I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I think this was my favorite interpretation of Loki, and Tom Hiddleston's best performance as the character. The scene between him and Anthony Hopkins when he learns the truth about who he is is masterfully acted.

@@DamnFineCupOfCoffee Whedon's Loki was quite well done. Branagh's as well. No hate on the series, it wasn't terrible, and I didn't enjoy Disney+ Loki much. and I know technically it's a variant, but his history prior to escaping with the Tesseract (aka before the timeline branched) was the same as OG Loki's.

I think the Dutch angles are a hold over from the era when directors were always thinking ‘how do I film this like a comic book’, sort of like Ang Lee’s hulk with the side by side frames etc. eventually they realized it was just a story with characters and you didn’t need a gimmick to sell it as a real story.
@mickeymouse7726
2 жыл бұрын
I like it because it makes the film standout as a unique viewing experience as opposed to the sameness of modern MCU movies now that are all shot the same way man
@PatOfTheRick
2 жыл бұрын
@@mickeymouse7726 I don’t disagree that the movies need more variation in camera work etc, I think the Dutch angles get mentioned so often as they are used a lot in the movie, so it’s a bit of a one trick pony that way.
