I love this channel. Really makes you think about your training and its effects whereas most KZitemrs simply peddle the same mantras chasing subscribers. Thanks Will. Bob 🇬🇧

I think people forget how small a part the weight room is to overall sports performance when their whole day is spent in the weight room If all you have in a hammer, everything looks like a nail

Thoughts on “Bracing” or “squeezing”? I am often told, “brace your core” which “includes your glutes abs, quads” during an exercise. That’s great and keeps me stable… But in a hockey game am I gonna do that when someone is trying to hit me? Am I gonna actively squeeze my glutes to “stay activated”? Probably not but I still don’t wanna get demolished. Wanted to hear your thoughts. Is there a middle ground? Is it just stupid?

Many beginners can instantly produce more power during the swing of a baseball bat or a kick from purely kinematic changes like you said. That’s without getting any stronger. Like you said athletes need to do more specific sport training, not more med ball throws and less sport training.

This is because of that one instagram comment using dynamic correspondence to justify rotational medball throws isn't it? 😂

I haven't seen a video on your channel yet speaking on the vertimax, so I thought I would ask it here. What are your thoughts about using the vertimax for vertical jump? If you like it, is there anything better? Is there a limit to it's efficacy? I enjoy your channel.

What's the max distance i should sprint before pulling a hamstring becomes far more likely? I dont really need top end speed as I play basketball so I dont want to over do the sprinting. Ive asked before but i forgot how far.
