It's theorized that Thrawn specifically WANTED clones like the Fels to go native and fight like hell for their homeworlds when the Vong invaded.

I love Grand Admiral Thrawn, I really hope he did kinda survive as a clone, I'll just in corporate this into my head canon. I know that there were a handful of Imperial survivors from the Galactic Civil War, such as Admiral Natasi Daala, Lord Nyax, and Kir Kanos.

But i think this clone wasn't meant to contain the real Thrawn's consciousness. It was the type of clone like Jango Fett's or Galen Marek's. If it wasn't destroyed it would still be a copy, and the real Thrawn would still be dead. He created the clone because he didn't have the right successor that would continue his way of reuniting the galaxy, in case he dies, so he needed to create one. I haven't read the entire duology though, so I'm not sure. But I did read the trilogy (legends one of course) and Thrawn isn't the type of character that wouldn't accept that he's gonna die. He wasn't looking for immortality like some sith.

I kinda wish Kennedy didn't kill the EU because I'm pretty sure that Zahn had a novel ready to be published where Ben Skywalker and a Clone of Thrawn would team up in the legacy era to combat some threat. On a side note, although this isn't really related, I always considered the Thrawn in Rebels and the later two new Thrawn novels to be a clone that Palpatine made while the real Thrawn was laying down the foundation for the Empire of the Hand in the Unknown regions. Yes, I understand that Rebels is officially a part of the DisnEU, but in my head-canon, Rebels is one of the few DisnEU sources that I consider a part of the EU (with a few retcons of course). Still trying to figure out how to retcon Pellaeon into it though...

This is the basis of my fanfic "The Hand of Thrawn: Penelope". It takes place immediately after "Visions of the Future" and explores how Thrawn's wife, the Chiss Empress of the Hand, Xelarra, who has spent the last ten years holding his Empire of the Hand together deals with the rumours of his return. Also that the clone under the Hand of Thrawn fortress just might not have been blown up after all.

We will never know, since the adventures of Luke, Mara Jade, and Ben Skywalker to find such a clone and explore the rest of the Unknown Regions were never even ever recorded between the events of the Yuuzhan Vong War and the rise of the One Sith, all while the bloated lies and deceptions involving a Dark Sided interpretation of New Jedi Order Grandmaster Jacen Solo and some dead hoax named Lumiya just had to be spread quite easily and successfully by Imperial diehards and Corellian separatists.

In my opinion, they should stayed away from ever expanding on the characters, and just kept their genders, appearances, and alignments ambiguous. Really not a fan of the Revan novel, the TOR MMO, Riptide, and Crosscurrent because of those. And in case there was a KotOR III back in the day, I really hope the old save bonus system familiar to Mass Effect and Baldur's Gate fans was planned to be implemented. Not that impressed into how KotOR II did make "transfers" from the first game.

Precisely, I guess. Also, there's the fact the choices on how you think about Revan almost always interpret them as romancing Carth/Bastila in the first game... which is contradictory to playthroughs where you romanced Juhani or, in simple terms, never even romanced anyone at all.

So you have a problem with clones but are ok with alternate dimensions and time travel (In Rebels). What kind of MCU bullshit is that? That stuff should stay away from Star Wars
@AAhmou
4 жыл бұрын
Paul Mackenan To be honest EU's interpretation of hyperspace is a parallel dimension. And there are very few occurences of creatures coming from another dimension. On the other hand time travel was always a no no in Star wars.
@paulmackenan6043
4 жыл бұрын
@@AAhmou but I always liked the EU's interpretation. They weren't so much so real dimensions but more like pocket dimensions (smaller distorted and messed up plains of existence such as Otherspace). Time travel was also kind of present in the form of Jacen Solo/Darth Caedus' force power when he and Tahiri Veila time warped to the past. Jacen explained to Tahiri that it wasn't actually time travel but more of a vision of the past but there were some discrepancies in what Jacen said. For example when Jacen went back to see his grandfather Darth Vader executing Order 66 at the Jedi Temple, Jacen stayed in the vision for too long and a 501st clone breifly noticed him which caused Jacen to quickly pull away from the vision. I believe time travel was sort of possible this way and the Jacen was lying but what I liked is that the concept was very obscure and up to much interpretation. The EU was very complex and interesting. What Disney did with Star Wars is some Marvel and DC crap like I said. I casually enjoy super heroes but those concepts do not belong in Star Wars. The new canon practically has a multiverse where there are an infinite number of near exact universes that slightly differ by the choices of the heroes. And evident and well developed time travel is bullshit. Ruins the whole purpose of Star Wars and nullifies the importance of our heroes actions and scarifices because in "another universe" something else could have happened. As much as I love Ahsoka she should not have been revived. Her sacrifice in protecting Ezra against Vader meant nothing if she casually lives again. So why not go back in time and stop Palpatine before he even becomes Chancellor. Or stop the conception of the Sith millenia ago. These metaphysical and universe breaking concepts do not belong in Star Wars and is another reason as to why Disney canon is absolute garbage.
