So I randomly came upon this video at the best time. I signed up as a promoter last month. About a week ago I asked the person who signed me up Sponsor how much they make. They didn't respond. So I followed up with them a few days later and that person got really nasty with me. I said this must be a pyramid scheme. That person said no that would be illegal. Anyway, to make a long story short the person blocked me from her social media and team page. Wow! So thankful for this video because it confirms that Thrive is ridiculous and it just wasn't me. Thanks so much!

When I was with Herbalife I remember getting into a “disagreement” with a man high up in my upline. He said i needed to drink more shakes and eat less food. I said “you can’t live off the shakes alone.” He said, “why not... if I was stranded on an island & only had my shakes I promise I’d survive & so will you.“ I heard the same statement at almost every convention from many people. These wellness companies are seriously dangerous to people with EDs & everyone.

I’m so embarrassed to admit that I was a promoter for this company. I was a brand new mom and wanted to lose weight. Another promoter reached out consistently and I fell for it. Thank you for sharing this video! I was a customer, then a promoter, then I quit. Everything was great until I tried a new product, and all the positive changes in my life immediately turned upside down. I had severe mental health issues directly linked to this particular product, and NO ONE was talking about it. I couldn't get answers from my upline or the company. I had a few friends who had similar issues from this product but we didn't talk much about it due to the severe depression we were all suddenly facing. I fought to get answers until I was too mentally exhausted to care anymore. My Thrive "friends" were dropping off rapidly, as I was no longer actively promoting or participating. I lost most of my pre-Thrive friends because they were simply tired of that being all I talked about, followed by the depression during which I wasn't active in any of my relationships. The toxic positivity is real! It's been a few years now, and I'm clawing my way back to me.

Just a statistics update: the mean is calculated by adding summing up a the numbers and diving by the number of data points summed. The median is described correctly but the conclusion is incorrect. It is the number right in the middle but it doesn’t tell you much without the another average calculation. The mode is what I prefer - that is the MOST common result (which is how you described the median). For example in this number set 1200, 100, 100, 50, 50, 5, 5, 5, 5, 5 the mean is 168.89. The median is 50 and the mode is 5. While you might be able to say most people made zero if the median is zero (true!!) it’s not always accurate.

I very distinctly remember my family buying and using thrive when I was in middle school and high school. My mother, grandma, and older sister were more into it than I was. No one ever sold products just used them. My mom would drink one of those shakes every morning. She tried to get me to drink them but I thought that they were disgusting and refused. She did however make me take the vitamins and wear the patch for a short period of time. I stopped taking the vitamins because I never really cared about taking them, and I stopped wearing the patch because it hurt to take off and people at school kept asking me if it was a nicotine patch and I didn’t want to get in trouble with my teachers. I didn’t know that thrive was about weight loss until now. But I don’t think my mother did either. Growing up her and my sister were and still are plus size and I was always average weight. Weight loss was never pushed on me or my sister. My mom always says that as long as your healthy your size doesn’t really matter. So when she had us all take thrive I don’t think it was to loose weight. From what I remember my mom was told that everything we were taking had “ vitamins and nutrients” in it. In high school I was in a weight lifting class and my sister played sports. Before thrive my mom had me take those “ hair, skin, and nails for growing teens” vitamins you cans find at Walmart. I really just think that my mom wanted to make sure that were both getting the vitamins that we needed, especially because we were active.

I own a meal prep business so I don't believe in these quick fix solutions to "losing weight". She had purchased some products from me and with her I just got the vibe of... I purchased from you, you now should purchase from me. So I ended up caving, mainly bc I wasn't as confident as I am now to say hell no and she was also saying she just needed me to purchase it to hit her quota. I just purchased the shakes and thankfully quickly cancelled to not get the auto renewal. But then she had the nerve to tell my friend that my products were over priced, I just couldn't help but laugh. Keep sipping the MLM Kool aid lady!

So I have nothing about the company, my SIL sells it, but I am unable to take most if not all of the products due to medical issues. But what I wanted to come on and say is that vitamin patches actually do work, for the most part and work well. They are absorbed by the skin and put directly into the blood stream, which is great when you need an energy boost, so you put on a B12 patch. But you have to be careful, because they are vitamins they aren't regulated and can cause issues. Before you take anything I always suggest that you read up on ingredients and see what interactions can happen with any meds you are on; or what side effects can occur. And that's just in general. Hope this helped in any way and stay safe with anything you are putting on or in your body. Oh, and thank you Hannah for making these videos. Maybe I'll get up my nerve to email you what I went through with an MLM.

What confuses me is that they advertise it as an 8 week program, but the distributors continue to use it as a permanent "lifestyle". Maybe I missed the explanation somewhere. Also if you haven't already, check out the ingredients. It's basically a crap ton of stimulants, which explains the need for the sleep gel.

Love your passion on this topic and your time/effort to help get the truth out there!! I hadn’t heard of this MLM until now, so I’m glad to be informed in case I ever hear a friend or family member buying into their BS! “Vector” is one that preys hard on high school and college students here in Ohio. Back in highschool a friend of mine got roped into their schemes. She gave them my contact information as a personal reference, and every once in awhile they still bother me to this day, trying to get me to join via letter mail and phone calls!...mind you it’s been over 10 years since they got my contact info from her. It’s annoying, but their desperation is also kinda funny 😂 But wow, the claims and products by this Thrive company are so ridiculous...they should be absolutely ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people! Ugh.

It gave me so much energy and I even stopped drinking coffee when I was taking it! I can't afford it anymore but I did enjoy the products and shakes (I always used milk and frozen fruit). (Edit to add) My friend who was a promoter used to give me her products when I couldn't afford it for free out of her own personal stuff. This was exactly the family I thought of when I saw the title of this video, she supposedly made $88,000 per year, but that would have included her “free trips”, and “free car”, and on her Facebook lives she was constantly sending out free product to people, as sample’s. Even at the amount on her taxes, I’m guessing she wasn’t actually taking home much money.

Thank you for this and all of your other videos! I would love to see a deep dive of Shaklee.

Absolutely! This company preys on people who may have insecurities about their health and wellness and their product claims are completely ridiculous 🙄

I’ve been trying to tell my girlfriend all this but she won’t listen to me. She just tells me I don’t support her. :(

I tried the Thrive products one time 8 years ago as a free sample and I felt like I was dying. I was so shaky, my heart was palpitating, sick to my stomach. It was horrible. I don’t normally consume caffeine, so it was probably a huge shock to my body.

So I play roller derby, super fun sport and a great workout. One of my coaches when I started was a brand partner/consultant for thrive. She had a "real talk" with the team about nutrition and taking care of our bodies in this demanding sport. And wouldn't you know it she had just the products for us that would help. Shebtold us how she didn't even have to pay for her patches because she sold enough to cover them, and she was listed as one of the top earners, etc. I went home and started researching the company, the products, the active ingredients, etc. All my research led me to the fact that the products are mostly different forms of caffineand vitamin D I think. So I decided to not get into the products. I don't know how she is doing anymore, she left the team after some pretty big hits and her main job being very demanding. But she doesn't post on social media so I'm guessing she is not with the company anymore.

i was told it costs 200$ worth of product in order to become a promoter. i have been hounded by promoters on facebook. tried the free sample it did give me energy but the patches broke my skin out and the shakes were disgusting. i support the hustle but its all bs
