So what about the other side? Do you still need to flip this shirt over and repeat the process, or does the dye penetrate to the back?

That’s exactly what I wanted to know. No one ever mentions that!

I'm with you. I want to see the back too. I want to make sure I don't need to touch it up in any way.

I was wondering myself If the back of the shirt has to be turned over or does it go throw to the other side?

It will as long as it's wet enough and the fabric isn't super thick. Just use enough dye, you can always flip it over when done on the first side and check to see if it has any areas needing additional brushing.

Not if you use procion mx dye. The tie dye kit they are using is procion cold water dye and it works on natural fibers. Silk, rayon, cotton....there are dyes for all fabrics though! Just read the packaging before you buy!

I believe there's a product called Jacquard acid dyes that you can use on synthetic fabrics?
