Careful not to dip your tungsten in the tungsten.

My friend had to weld up a roll cage in a Mitsubishi racer. He bought a Weldtec I Head Roto and a stubby gas lens kit. He said it made the job much easier. Passed safety with compliments.

Great tip, I never would have thought of it. Does it count as dipping the tungsten if you dip it in tungsten????

I work in a field where tight welds are not uncommon, but the small torches just won't give you the gas coverage you need. Ive had to bend a few pieces of tungsten in the past. It can get you out of a bind. I wonder how the bendable tungsten would do with some heat on it ?

Exactly!!! I learned something new today. I didn't even know that Tungsten could be bent. Could of given me a thousand years and I would never have figured that out.

Have you ever experimented with a flat or bevelled to one side or the other tungsten tip. A blade shape rather than a cone or even a pyramidal?
