I am not on TikTok and have been wondering how this cruise is going. I don't know why that women was so pressed about that guys comments about the people not making a living wage. Working on a cruise ship is brutal and they don't get paid enough, Most employees are working 10+ hour days and have no days off. The only time they get off is between shifts. Side note but all of the cruise ship employees who document their experience that I have seen are entertainers, and their experience and privileges are completely different from most other workers. It honestly drives me insane how they don't mention that.
@rottytherottski522
6 ай бұрын
I mean ive worked on a naval vessel and what youre forgetting is that for the duration of your time on ship you have your housing and food covered by your employer, as well as electricity, water, and wifi. Working on a cruise ship has its perks due to the safety from other threats that you find on shipping, there is the inherent dangers of ocean travel. But on things like a cargo ship you have a smaller crew and the chance of being attacked by pirates depending on your shipping lanes. But its literally insane to say people arent making a living wage when the job provides all living amenities to the crew, if housing, food, water, and entertainment arent things needed to be supplied for in a living wage i honestly dont know what we need to live. But a 10 hour shift isnt strange for working on any ship, you get 8 hours for sleep and 6 hours of free time, i had a 13 hour shift for two months on ship. Due to all these factors the money you make for the entire trip is just banked and when you get off you can end up with a very pretty penny. Of course if you want to make real money on the ocean you go into work like crabbing which is big risk big reward or dangerous cargo lines which also have big reward but those jobs also have an insanely higher level of work required for that big money. Also you have to remember that a engineering officer is going to be making way more than a steward, janitor, or average deckhand. The guys deep in the bowels of the ship have a lot more to focus on than tiktok since if they fail in their duties peoples lives are at risk, as such those jobs pay way higher. I just wanted to clear some realities of the jobs up. Lol if you think this job is worth calling out just wait until you hear about the military pay and weekend plans on Navy ships, a cruise ship is a dream in comparison.

cruise fans being insane and volatile is honestly the least surprising thing i've heard in awhile. also just heard about the weirdo who went live in the members only area and was apparently just spouting disgusting rhetoric, also unsurprising. cruises are already a measure of class and a 9 month one that costs $60k and doesn't include water bottles unless you've already spent literal years and hundreds of thousands on their other cruises feels like satire, but is also not that surprising, and it feels like the ones paying that much to get into the members area are clearly so privileged they're likely convinced inherently that all minorities are evil and trying to ruin their cruises via tiktok. shout out to that karen of the sea who clearly has never faced actual adversity in her life, claiming everyone who's employed on a cruise is just as well treated and well off as her. she's real aware of the world around her, i'm sure.

TO be fair, they do have to go advocate for themselves if they want a refund for the missed tender ports. I believe that its rare? in the cruise world for them to AUTOMATICALLY refund, and that in most cases unless it is clearly stated that they DO refund automatically for missed ports that you have A. have travel insurance that covers the risk or B. go and complain/ask for the refund personally to guest services. It wouldn't be the first time a hospitality industry place operated a bit sussily in the shadows by hoping you won't know to ask until after the time has elapsed where you can, or after you've long left the cruise and its too late or something. It would be a way to make money anyway and businesses have never really shied away from making money off people's lack of awareness of processes and stuff. I'm glad i watched you video on this. I enjoyed it. Thank you! You're like the second KZitem video I've watched on the world cruise but I've seen a couple advertised that i didn't watch. Wholesome take. Still working my way through the lost video series!

This is essentially a legion of malcontents wishing they could also take a 9 month long vacation, desperately wishing the people who could have as bad a time as possible for the sake of schadenfreude and entertainment. And it's honestly sad, social media really is a plague.

My whole family impersonated pinnacle members when my grandparents, who are pinnacle brought us to the pinnacle only restaurant on a RC cruise. We did it for our whole stay and nobody ever said anything lol

I'm so glad you made a video about this because I heard about it in passing, but I didn't want to take the time to find out more for myself haha

I mostly wanted the harmless funny stuff like the pineapple misunderstanding and the wine shortage. What I didn't expect was seeing what looks like a prototype for the Fallout live action.

People hate cruises. But it does sound appealing to me. If I was rich I would love to live in a floating resort. I assume there is Internet on board now. 😄

Hi there, cruise expert here. I’d recommend virgin voyages if you’re looking for internet, they include free wifi, as well as a ton of good amenities

the people trying to get marc in trouble while not even being on the cruise. brooooooo this was so irritating to witness bv the people on it seemed to love him but fuck that if he personally makes YOU angry then thats all that matters

I hate reality shows so I haven’t watched any of these people’s TikToks. I actually hate TikTok. HOWEVER, Billiam if you hopped on I’d watched your experience. Because you are truly entertaining.
