I'm at work, droning through spread sheet work today. I'm 61, and I've spent the last couple of days listening to all 77 videos in the Filmore Collection, reliving what it was like seeing Tom and Heartbreakers live. When the crowd joined back in after Tom's funny story of chasing Gloria down the street, I sit here in tears remembering the joy of being at ANY of Tom's shows. I can remember when Jerry Garcia died, my sister (who is now 56) was literally in bed crying for days after his death. I was never a dead head, but Tom and Heartbreakers were the closest thing I've ever experienced to the joy my sister said she felt going to Dead shows, and it hit me hard when it passed away in 2017. After listening to all these Filmore show videos over the past two days, at the end of this song, really hit hard how much I miss his shows. He was truly one of a kind and world lost a great treasure and provider of joy when he died. Rock on Tom! At least we'll always have the music!

I am incredibly MAD at myself for not seeing them live. I had no idea what he and the band did live. I am SO loving listening to Tom Petty Ch. 31, Sirius XM though am always so bummed that I didn't have a clue, when Tom was alive. So glad to hear it though and to be able to keep hearing it...I have become such a huge fan...would have been earlier, if I had known.

This is what I will ALWAYS miss!! How they / he had that connection to all of us in the audience. A special bond if you will. There is no other band like them. We knew when to chime in . It was so special and I will cherish those concerts.

You're still a living Legend even from the heavens above:) I remember my times before my early 20s, and my homie from Virginia and the other from my city were listening to them, and he ended up growing on me, and, I continuously as of these days and years, still love, enjoy, and appreciate him since day one

I'll never forget the show I saw Petty play in 05 that ended with this song; the performance of it was insane, and its still the best concert ending I've ever seen. I am so glad to finally see the band release their take on it after all these years!

Outstanding! Tom and the Band at their best, he's a storyteller, a comedian, telling it real for the people...bring it down low...sing it out LOUD!!!
