Finn and Michael were two characters I'd never have expected to become what they did, amazing writing and in my mind the perfect example of character growth and change over time, I've yet to come across characters quite like these, and the actors who portrayed them could simply never be better in their portrayal

I haven't seen the full show through, but the line "your lethal hand is always on our shoulders" is so so powerful. To me it symbolizes the show. Tommy, no matter what he does and for what reason, is nothing more than death walking. He kills nearly everyone who isn't family.

Yet what Michael said here is true. It's always Tommy driving the family forward. It's Tommy's ambition, Tommy's gambles and decision. All of the stuff that happened happened because Tommy wanted it to. His hand is on everybody's shoulders. Michael's brain was pierced with a .45ACP, notorious for being fat and slow, meaning on impact it would rapidly start to slow down (as compared the 9mm, or a metal spike in Gage's case) and impart all that energy. Also, from what I hear from the account of Gage, he was stunned momentarily, but was (essentially) back to normal almost immediately, we don't see that with Michael. Michael is definitely dead. You are right though, Tommy should have definitely double tapped to be absolutely sure.

I think both, Tommy and Michael were right, Polly was an adult woman with her own decisions but Tommy was the boss and we saw him lost control when he lost people because of his decisions. Tommy knew this moment would come and was afraid, Michael was a young version of him.

The fck you on about? Tommy has come close to dying so many times throughout the show. Everyone wants to be around Tommy when times are good but when the chips are down they all blame Tommy. That’s some shitty family right there.
