yeah. Actually they were daughters of the river-god Achelous and the Terpsichore the Muse of dancing. (All Muses can sing. That's where the word "music" came from.) They were handmaidens of Persephone. They weren't able to stop Hades' kidnapping of her and out of anger, Demeter cursed them and they can to live on a island, luring sailors to their deaths through their lovely songs.

first off, most myths tell that Medusa is the only sister that can turn people to stone. Correct me if I'm wrong, Medusa and her 2 sisters are the only Gorgons.

One thing I appreciate is that in the Beyblade Metal Saga, some of the most powerful and iconic Beyblades were based on creatures from Greek mythology.

Hercule was not the only one to pass Cerberus unharmed. The musician Opheius passed unarmed by playing a sweet tune on his lyre and sending the dangerous dog to sleep. 🐶🎵☺💚.

No1 and less known by people is the giant TALOS. A huge bronze automaton that patroled and circled the shores of Crete 3 times a day so that to protect Europa who was the mother of Minos the king of Crete. God, such great bedtime stories for children !!!!!! The most popular Satyr though is the god PAN (Πάνας)

In the event you are wondering what that giant metal man in the outro was, that was Talos. It's a large bronze machine that the God of the Forge made to protect Crete. Jason eventually destroyed it after he pulled out a metal pin in its heel, causing all its blood to flow out.

Hellhounds, telekhines, the Furies, naiads, dryads, katoblepones, venti, ourae, a drakon, arae, Scythian dracanae and more should've at least gotten an honorable mention. They're too cool not to have.

Surprised Echidna wasn't on this list, considering she's the mother of all monsters (almost). Also surprised at how Typhon is just an honorable mention.

sphinx riddle answer Man (or woman). A baby crawls on all fours, then walks on two legs as an adult and uses two legs and a cane when they’re old.

I'm surprised nobody's giving Typhon any love. Probably because he hasn't really appeared in movies. He was a giant, son of Hera (or Kronos, which would make him and Zeus brothers). He was a giant that rose to power as strong as that of the Olympic gods themselves, and finally challenged Zeus for the rule of the cosmos. It took him every ounce of power, but Zeus managed to subdue Typhon (not kill him), and bury him under a volcano. If even the king of the gods can't beat you in one-on-one combat, I'd say that merits a no. 1 spot.

In some stories, Pegasus was the son of Poseidon, god of the sea, and Demeter, goddess of agriculture and harvest. Demeter, desperate to get away from Poseidon, changed into a horse. But, Poseidon changed into one too. And then he cornered her. You can guess what happened. And, we all know that Demeter and Poseidon are siblings, right?
