@@terrywarren4876 it’s pretty well known that Bobby Hull had a stick blade curve like a banana, which made the puck’s trajectory more unpredictable. Stricter curve regulations went into effect because of this.

@@samspade4050 No but we 🇨🇦 lost too that year! To the Czechs in a stupid shootout where our idiotic head coach, Marc Crawford, left the greatest scorer(arguably the greatest NHL player of all time) on the bench!! Gretzky sat and watched as we lost in the most idiotic way to decide a game of that magnitude. Czechs went on to win gold, thanks mainly to their goalie Hasek. It was the first time the NHL shut down to let the best players in the world compete in the Olympics. The owners may not let that happen anymore.

Why is hockey better than women? In hockey, everyone loves it rough. Periods only last twenty minutes. You only get five minutes for fighting. Even without teeth you can score.

He was born in Canada & played his first organized hockey in the States. Canada snubbed his dad in the ‘72 summit series & himself in the ‘86 World Championship. Perhaps he was insulted and decided to get dual-citizenship like many soccer players do. Or possibly him being closer to his American mom might have had something to do with it. As a Canadian hockey fan, I wasn’t bothered by it since it was his decision to make.
