I forgot to ask which of the projects was your favorite? (Mine is the library card coasters.) Which thrift store merchandise do you prefer-Midwest or Southwest? (I prefer the vintage items available in the Midwest, but it sure is fun to shop in different places!)

Hi Sherry, loved your video today! I wanted to tell u abt something that works wonders for cutting messy foam...it’s a heated foam cutter, u can find them at craft stores or Amazon and they are less than $20. (Unless u get a fancy one) It will slice right through without so much foam crumbs. It definitely saves on cleanup and it gives u more precise cuts. Hope this helps! 🥰

Sherry, That Sunflower cross stitch was made by a loving mother, grandmother, aunt or sister. You can tell by how it was duct taped and then professionally framed. To me there are always stories behind handmade items. My husband’s maternal grandmother could crochet, quilt, cross stitch and cook and bake like a professional in my opinion. My mother-in-law was the same way. My in-laws and grand in laws took me in just like I was their daughter/granddaughter. All boys on my in-laws side. I was made and given things from them always. My upbringing was slim. Lived off the land from a small farm and worked hard. My dad worked hard. My mom drove a school bus and other odd jobs. We made it. Always had food and clothing, but I was spoiled by my in-laws. I also did some crafting. I made a rustic wall art for my husband’s grandmother using burlap and different colored buttons in flowers using a crochet hoop and then I put it in a frame and she was so happy with it. I got it back from my MIL when they passed away (grands).

I kept being disappointed by the finds at my thrift stores in TX. Then I remembered that people did not migrate to this state until electricity and air conditioning were cheap around 1970. So avocado green, harvest gold, and brown were more common than older things. My parent's guest bath in the house they bought in 1969 had green flocked wallpaper with an 8 foot green counter top and sink.

Thank you for your appreciation. Your a sweatheart and I really enjoy your videos. Im so happy that your channel is doing well. You always have such good ideas and unique tips for decorating. Speaking of tips, you helped me awhile back by suggesting setting up a simulation of my booth to prepare for the 2nd pop up sale I was about to participate in. It really was very helpful. Thank you. Id like share a tip with you now. When pathching nail holes fill, remove excess filler and allow to dry. Use a damp cloth to remove the filler from the wall only, being careful not to remove filler from the hole. Allow to dry. Using a small paint brush about the same size as the hole, pat or dot a little paint just over the filled hole. Fresh paint is always a little lighter but in a few weeks time it blends in nicely. Also i usually use my finger to reduce the amount of filler that needs to be sanded or wipped away. Try not to brush it on it's always going to look patchy. This was a technique my property manager gave me! She said, "It's an old painters trick!" Lol. Anyway hope this help with future nail hole fills.

Your talent is so wonderful! You share with us. I really love that I can relax while I learn from you. I think one huge mistake many other KZitem decorating and crafty type hostesses make is that they are loud. Your tone of voice draws one in with interest and appreciation. Thank you, thank you for not playing loud, obnoxious music! And, thank you for not playing music during your presentations. It actually, is distracting.

Sherry you are fearless when it comes to transforming your thrifted items I believe that anyone else would have given up on the pillow idea when the adhesive wouldn’t come off the piece where it had been taped into the frame, that little pillow turned out so nice. The fringe you added really made the whole piece. You’re so talented as an upcycler. Unfortunately my sewing skills aren’t up to par. I want to let you know how much I appreciate you leaving links in your description box now anyone can replicate the coasters. Dollar Trees sells individual coasters for anyone not lucky enough to find them while thrifting. I will be making them soon. My favorite piece has to be the salad bowl you painted black and waxed. It really transformed the piece making it something that anyone could use whether to chorale remotes on their coffee table or to hold a plant on a dresser. And lastly I want to thank you for taking us thrifting with you. Unfortunately as much as I love thrifting I don’t get to go very often. I am excited about upcoming yard sales and am hoping to get to go to some when it warms up. Have a great week see you next time 👍🏻💕

Longer is always better. I could watch you transform items for hours...literally. I like the Midwest items better and I loved the clock.

Absolutely charming thrift flips! The coasters using old library book cards and a DT crate were fantastic! Your videos could never be too long!

It gave me a twinge if pain when you painted the clock box, but after it was finished, I loved it more. And, the sunflower pillow was so so cute!
