Do you know what kind of software can be used for removing background noise? Nvidia broadcast is great but still leaves background noise out for some reason. This is also for things like discord or recording videos when no editing is involved
@blackshuck9799
11 ай бұрын
@@Zynphii For me I have a shure sm7b mic so my background noise in Obs is pretty much non existent to begin with. However if your recording vocals for say a video or something. Your best route would be to use something like Audacity and its noise cancellation feature. However you'd have to look up a guide for it, since it isn't very user friendly. You could also do editing through something like Davinchi resolve 18 to remove background noise. But that's not 100% perfect but gets most of the noise removed. If your using OBS though you'd have to do some testing with your mic and figure out what settings work for you and etc. Hope this helps...

Step 6 not acoustically treating your room, possibly one of the most important parts for the best vocals

@JiihaaS

@@2paco this isn't necessarily directed to you specifically, but relates to what you said: You can do a lot with basic furniture and decoration. Book shelves full of books are great, sofas and beds too. Thick curtains and carpets also do a lot. One of the biggest things to look out for is flutter echo, which happens between surfaces that are facing each other at the same angle, such as the floor and the ceiling, and parallel walls. Place something (preferably large and soft or not flat) in between or at these kind of surfaces, or manipulate them some other way if possible, so they won't be parallel anymore. I for example have a wardrobe that fills a whole wall and has multiple hinged doors. I can drastically shorten the room echo just by opening these doors at a 45 degree angle. Also, while recording, try to keep both the sound source and the mic as far away from reflective surfaces as possible, and as close to each other as possible without ruining the sound.

The first point doesn't add up with the second. Depending on what the mic pattern is, you speak differently into the mic. It doesn't have to be top or side.
@totallyfrozen
9 ай бұрын
The polar pattern is not related to the address. A mic is constructed to either be side address or top address. A ribbon mic, for example, may be side address and have either cardiod or figure 8 polar patterns, but it’s still a side address mic.

proably should get a new microphone or if there's dust or something on it dust it off and also dont eat the mic it can cause alot of damages
@totallyfrozen

If you’re hearing delay in your earphones it’s because you’re mixing the Input and Playback signals. When you record, only send the input mic signal to the earphones. When you want to hear what you’ve recorded, only send the Playback to the earphones. I doubt Audacity is doing that. I use Audacity too. The problem is most likely coming from the settings in Windows.

@BadIntentStreamTechReviews

Under $50 is pretty tough for all of these. Does your tablet have a USB-C port? If so, the HyperX SoloCast is a good option to look at. But do keep in mind: It doesn't do amazing with breathing sounds (hard to find good plosive rejection under $50. However, it's a condenser so you can position it slightly away from your mouth and you can speak at it from an angle so it doesn't pick them up. 2. For like $15 more you can get a cheap boom arm with a pop filter to improve the sound even more.
