These are the TOP 5 reasons why you need a boost pedal. For this video, I am using the NUX Boost Core. It's a rather underrated boost pedal that combines three very cool circuits in one enclosure.
The first boost mode (Clean Mode) is based on the now famous RC Booster. It's the most transparent of the three modes and packs a 20dB boost. The second mode is called Dirt Mode and is based on the AC Booster. This mode packs a whopping 35dB of boost. The last one is called Spark mode, and oddly enough is based on the Top Boost channel circuit of a Vox amplifier.
This one also punches out a generous 35dB of boost.
I'll be using my 2005 Bad Cat Hot Cat 30r, with a Bad Cat 2x12 cabinet loaded with the Bad Cat Celestion modified V30s. The microphones are a combination of Shure SM57 and Aston Origin.
I'm using a PreSonus STUDIO 192 Mobile interface, and I'm recording with Reaper.
