IMO front end of the g37 looks better and the rear looks like a sad pile of hot trash in a cold bucket of dog sh!t, but the rear of the g35 looks doper then crack! The best thing to do if you have the extra money is do a g37 front end conversion on your g35 and then you have the best of both worlds without a doubt!

It's not super fast, but it's fast enough to surprise people. Whenever I take a friend for a ride they are shocked at how fast it is. They often tell me "I bet it didn't come from the factory like that". Also, at least where I'm from, there are a lot of civics and V6 chargers / mustangs that think they are so fast. I always enjoy handing out gapplebees gift cards haha.

Have an 03 G35 coupe with stick. 242k miles with original clutch still working fine. Bought in 2007, with only 20k miles on it. I’m keeping this car until it dies or I die whichever comes first. Yeah, has issues, burns up oil a bit, had some minor engine repairs done, but considering that I have no car payments, a little maintenance now and then is well worth it. Maybe I’ll get the piston rings replaced someday, but if I don’t have to, it can wait.

@@tridentfd8482 vq35hr motor actually has more racing potential than the vq37. This is because the vq37 vvel system becomes a hindrance at high rpms and makes it harder to tune the car. Also the vq37 and vq35 have same bore but vq37 has longer stroke, giving it 3.7 liters. This increases power but limits rpm capability. This is why the vq35hr pulls hard to 8k rpm while the vq37 tends to die out after 7k rpm. Vq35hr is actually better motor for racing. But it only came in the g35 sedan model from 2007-2008 making it somewhat rare.

@@tridentfd8482 vq35de is probably the best bang for your buck tho. They are far more affordable/obtainable than the 07-08 vq35hr or vq37 and are still fast. And the g35 coupe does have the best look imo.
@tridentfd8482
4 жыл бұрын
bruce lee that sir is where you are slightly wrong but also right... :) No disrespect or anything but do more digging your notice the HR motor isn’t as capable as a lot of people think the block likes to give out and blow more then the 37 that’s why if you look at all the turbo VQ they are 37 block and then they put the 35HR heads on top it’s a common set up and it’s a beast of motor just look at fresh kicks 350z he pushed 800hp and the motor was indestructible. The 35HR motor might look better on paper but the 37 is more refine and when you add the Vq35HR head on top of the 37 block it just the icing on the cake. I was planning on doing that build with my G but no sense my car is heavy asf rather put that motor in a Z :)

But just changing the speakers alone will make a huge difference but if u wanna go full throttle with it u can just start with the stereo and see a nice difference.

@Curlyheadrae24

Trident FD eeeeehhhh i think you should vice versa. Evo isn’t really a car you should daily, it’s a straight race car from factory, the G should be your daily while you mod the evo, it’s a way better car anyways, less modifications and you’ll make more power. I haven’t had any problems with mine other than the A/C breaking but that’s just cause I live in Texas where it’s over 100 degrees everyday. Just keep up with changing your oil and spark plugs and have a good tune on the car and it’ll last a long time.

NBDxChance oh damn that’s rough for sure. When you hear the knocking sound things get real scary lol. The thing with the these engines(especially RevUps) is they burn through oil like crazy! The older they get makes it even worse because the seals are no longer as effective as they were when they were newer so it burns through oil quick status. I check my oil every couple of days and make sure it’s always topped off and make sure I’m always using premium fuel. Mobile 1 fully synthetic with Napa gold or platinum oil filters and I change the oil every 4K instead of every 6k so it’s always super clean. Staying on top of that makes sure there are no dry spots in the engine and seems to keep me away from any knocking sounds thank god lol. The crazy part is even with 230k miles it has not one issue and the even the idle is on point. I plan on rebuilding the engine soon with forged internals so i can push some boost with a twin turbo kit. I can’t wait to get this project complete but it costs a shiz load of money sad 😞. These engines seem to last forever. I saw this one guy who had over 500k miles on his G!
