Lawn mower death is one of my all-time favorites too. Followed by anything from PMS: The Horror Movie. Plus Emily's "It's hard out there for pimp" execution of Josh was great comedy too!

Mr. Ryan, I have some questions, I'm currently writing a script to a short film I'm making called "Vibrant", and I already have an idea for an actress to play the police sergeant, but she is in a lot of well known movies, and I don't know how to contact her? And I'm only 14, Would they take me seriously? Do you have any ideas how to do that? Last question, the one minute short film, am I allowed to use the Filmstro app? I don't have a computer. Thank you very much, your an amazing help into my journey onto becoming a great filmmaker, thank you -Sebastian

Death #3 was the first Film Riot I ever watched. Death #2 is my favorite--a lot of that is the awesome music. Surprised nothing from PMS made it. Doesn't Josh die four times, just in that skit? On a similar note, I've always loved your freeze time (motion control) skit. A lot of that is also the music, but it's just fun as hell, and a pretty spectacular sequence of Kessler taking out the whole Film Riot crew in general.

You all do great work. Would you mind doing a new video regarding masking methods in HitFilm Express for those of us that come from a photoshop/photography background?
@HitfilmUniversity
7 жыл бұрын
John D I'll note the Official Hitfilm Channel has tutorials specifically on masking. My channel touches on masking in Essential Hitfilm 8. Also, masks are pretty generic in NLEs. All the options in Ae masks are in Hitfilm with the same function names. Hitfilm's masking tools haven't changed since version 1, so any Hitfilm masking tutorial would work. If you have a Photoshop background or any vector graphic packages, drawing masks is like working with the Pen tool. A click is a corner, a click+drag is a bezier curve. Points can change from corner to curve with a right-click on the point. I mean I think Ryan would do an incredible masking tutorial, but the information is out there.

I used the first one as the inspiration to the death of a killer in a horror/slasher film I did a few years ago, only I used a sledge hammer and the effect didn't really have the same results as it did here (some people figured out it was a watermelon). But like Ryan, it freaked the hell out of my mom too lmao

Have always loved Losses... I think Josh missed his calling; he's seriously funny, but he also makes a great action hero (or anti-hero, as the case may be). I was also disappointed that Emily kiling literally everyone except for Ryan didn't make it into this list (Learn to Do a Slow Motion Gun Shot!). Some awesomely well done dying went on there. Not particularly gory per se, but convincing. "A SLUSHY and VENGEANCE are my copilots!"
