Nonono! ☠️💩 Don’t go glacier hiking by yourself unless you have a certificate/ experience! Its like going parachuting for the first time without help! So many people have died glacier hiking without experience! You’re not paying the guides to get you up on the glacier. You pay them to get you down. Safe. Trust me. Ive hiked those beauties quite a lot (never alone!!). Witnessed quite a few incidents. But cool video 👍🏼

I was in Iceland in september. Was beautiful weather tho. I have a friend, she is local girl, living there almost all her life so showed me nice spots to visit. We visit Blue Lagoon, Black Bleach, first waterfall from your video, airplane crash spot, Northern lights too 😍Everywhere is crowded with so many tourist, but there is so many places too, where is warning signs to not enter but tourists never listen and afterwords they die. So dangerous even next to black beach. Because that huge hill on the side of ocean is falling and some huge lava rocks just can kill you in a second.. And you can get lost easily. Like 2 chinese got lost in storm couple days ago and died ..

My brother lived in Iceland for 5 years. He was in the US Navy. He has lived in Italy, Germany, WA State, Southern California. Out of all those places he and his wife loved Iceland the most. Sadly, when going from Iceland to Italy to live, this Russian ship hired by the Navy to move him hit a storm and sank. All 28 crewman died. All of my brother’s family’s belongings including their car was lost...nothing can compare to the loss of life, of course. He always said Iceland had to be the most naturally beautiful place on Earth.

This made me so nostalgic and emotional. I studied abroad in Iceland in 2012-2013 and that was easily the best time of my life. I went on weekend trips to many of these spots with roommates and other exchange students who became lifelong friends. Somehow, I still missed some of the best spots like Glacier Lagoon, but I think that's great because there's still a lot to do next time. 2 more spots that I really loved that are worth mentioning imho are Isafjordur (fjors in the northwest) and Seljalandsfoss (a waterfall you can walk behind). I did a 17 day Iceland trip and basically did the entire country. completely agree Glacier Lagoon and Diamond beach were our favorite we spent just about the entire day there and didn't want to leave, it was truly amazing. Other places to check out...hot spring called the hot river..a little touristy but it was fun and it's a nice hike. There are so many amazing waterfalls in Iceland that you should do them all but some little known ones you should check out are Bruarfoss (awesome colors) and Dynjandi (massive waterfall..this was my favorite). Another great place was the Arctic Henge, not touristy at all. Of course the other touristy things like the plane crash, blue lagoon, lake myvatn bath, Hvitserker rock formation, Hraunfossar Waterfall is pretty in the fall with the color change. I can go on and on and on about things to do in Iceland. It was an unbelievable place to visit. Do yourself a favor and shop at Bonus, it's the cheapest place to get food in Iceland.

@@kaya-sem hi! all roads there are mountain roads which are only open to 4x4 cars during summer - they announce opening based of weather conditions. Theoretically you can hike if you’re experienced hiker but keep in mind conditions are hard every during summer and temperature can drop to 0, not to mention the amount of snow. If you’re asking me I wouldn’t recommend during that in the winter time for your own safety.

It's about 100 krona to $0.77 US Dollars, so although the prices in Iceland are higher, they are not as high as he states in US dollars. WoW!!! This is some amazing piece right here! I mean many people can make travel videos but Eric's personality makes them so exceptional!! You can really tell that he cares about the place he is at, as well as viewers and gives us full picture. Nothing to say about the quality of the videos....hands down one of the best 10 mins you can spend on KZitem. Good job, Eric!!

If you are going in the summer I would suggest going to the west or the east fjords as there are fewer tourist that go there. As well as the highlands and northern Iceland. Húsavík, Westman Islands ( vestmannaeyjar). Also I would go to Bonus instead of Hagkaup, it is a lot cheaper.

You have to try Drysuit diving in Silfra. You swim between two tectonic plates in crystal clear water... simply mind blowing.

Been to most of these places in Iceland! If you haven’t gone back yet, be sure to check out Silfra next time you go. It’s a little touristy but you can scuba dive or snorkel between two continental plates. Also, check out Gjáin! You’ll feel like you’re walking through a fairytale land! Just be cautious on the roads getting there, they’re high dirt roads I think only open in summer. 👍🏻

Never been to Iceland, but the video is refreshing to watch in AZ on a hot day in the summer. The Icelandic horses are cute. (Jan Griffiths).
