This older Toro personal pace mower has gotten a ton of use. So when the primer bulb split, it was worth replacing for less than $10 at the home improvement center. How do you do it on this model? Take off the flat screw holding the air cleaner door. Remove the three 5/16” screws which keep the bracket up against the carb. Remove the plastic inlet tube. Using a screwdriver, remove the plastic clip that clips the primer bulb in place. Then simply do the reverse to get everything back in place.
This repair was easy and cost me less than $10. In retrospect, this mower needed a carb clean out and a spark plug replaced. To keep the video short, I am only showing how an average ordinary guy or gal can replace a split primer bulb on this older model of a Toro mower.
