I'm glad to see more full timers in a 13ft. As of three weeks ago I and my two cats went full time in my 13ft. I have to say it has been awesome and liberating not to have a house. Everyone has their own and unique ways of storage I'm noticing. I'm also a campground host for the summer season to cut costs. I hope your travels are good ones. Thanks for putting your selves out there.

It's crazy to me how quick we were able to acclimate to leaving the house and living in approx. 60 sq. ft. of living space. I love my little space and the fact that we can park it in places that bigger rigs can't go!! And you're right! Isn't it so interesting to see how others renovate their Scamps (and other RVs as well!)?! The best part is learning from eachother, so we can all take the part we love and incorporate them into our own set-up.

Very cool video, I have a scamp 13 and always enjoy seeing what other people do to theirs. No matter how many scamps I see, there is always some little aspect that I see and think, "why didn't I think of that!"

Honestly, it’s just screws going into the fiberglass. If you’re screwing into the actual shell of the camper, though, use rivets and silicone to secure it.

Really great video! 5.5 years of full time living in a 13 foot Boler (same as Scamp) and I'm still learning and figuring out new things to make it more enjoyable. The wood stove to stay toasty during cold Michigan winters was the best addition though. Looking forward to more of your videos!

We needed the bunk beds and wanted the 13 ft size, so we could get into tighter spaces that bigger rigs can’t; this cut out the idea of having a bathroom. Honestly, though, it hasn’t been that bad. Cold nights are a struggle sometimes, but I still prefer it this way. 🤗

If you are familiar with butane single burner stoves, you know how expensive they are to run. GasOne came out with a dual butane/propane stove, but the hoses leaked. So they were on back order for over a year. Hallelujah - W*M now has cross over hoses to fit ALL brands of the butane stoves. Much cheaper to run a 1 pound can of propane. Or - I found a tiny 5 pound tank that i can get refilled at the Sinclair . . . dinosaur? Well my boler is a 73 and I am a 51

Seems the wait time has gotten longer. I had a 13’ Scamp on order, but we decided a little more space would be a better fit for us. At that point we decided on a Casita Travel Trailer. They don’t make 13’ anymore. I still enjoy watching all videos on 13’ Scamps.

No problem! I’ll actually be having an updated scamp tour video coming out hopefully within the next month or two. This one is about a year and a half old. Could you give me the time stamp, and I can look really quick and let you know?

@@wanderess_sam Thank you for your reply! Sorry I wasn’t more specific plus I got it wrong that it was from from Amazon. I think it’s around 13:25 where he pulls out the first drawer he made, then directly under that there’s a pull-out where you can sit on the couch to have the laptop on the surface that pulls out. He said you got it from the internet lol, which really narrows it down! I’d love to have something like that.
@wanderess_sam

@@annfath8729 Ooohhhh!! I know what you’re talking about now. He said that I saw someone else have that drawer on the internet (KZitem) and I wanted one in my camper. He actually made the whole thing himself. He bought the rails from Lowe’s I think, measured the wood, and screwed it all in. He made sure to make the pull out table after the pull out drawer so he’d know how think the table could be. 😅 Sorry for the confusion.

Great video guys! I'm curious about the solar panels set up and the pump thingy for the water jugs, never heard of that, I'm thinking about some of this stuff could be really useful for my mom in PR when they lose power and water during hurricane season. Thanks!
@wanderess_sam
2 жыл бұрын
Hey Aniat! I think our next "How To" video is going to go over solar and how we power the Scamp. As far as the pump, it works well to pump the water out of our jugs. It's just a rechargeable pump with an attached tube that sits in the water. We like it (though, I'm finding myself using the workout of lifting the jugs more often lately). 😅

Hi. I’ve been thinking of this more and more... the whole going full time in our travel trailer. To break free from the “norm” which in my eyes is a trap. We have a Casita. It’s a molded fiberglass trailer as well. I’m surprised y’all opted for a no bathroom or plumbing option being that you’re full timing and all.
@wanderess_sam
Жыл бұрын
Marshall likes the Casita as well! We have ways around the no bathroom situation, and it allows for more room in the camper; although, Marshall misses a bathroom, and if he could have done it over again, he would have gone with a 16 ft Scamp. I love the 13 ft, though!
@DavidMedina4All
Жыл бұрын
@@wanderess_sam I understand, being that it’s 13’. I use the bathroom, but not necessarily the black tank (most of the time) since we boondock a lot. 😉 Still, glad to have a private space of my own with a door for when needed. Yes, a 16 footer would be nice for 2 people vs a 13’. The good thing is, these campers sell quickly. So when/if you’re ready to upsize, it’ll be helpful. I’ve seen some add a composting toilet in their bathroom. That’s a big help as well. In the meantime, y’all keep enjoying the experience/life.

We leave the Scamp and drive around in the truck. That was one of our thoughts whenever we started thinking about this lifestyle (buslife and vanlife were on our mind at one point). I didn't like the idea of having to pack up my house everytime I wanted to go to town, though, so travel trailer it was!

We put a full-size one in and had to cut it down a bit to fit, and it’s pretty snug. After a while sleeping on it with Marshall, though, we can barely tell it’s a full. However, I would bet a queen size would be too big.
