The first of three episodes on trail running in hot and humid conditions. ‘Beat the heat’ starts in episode one by briefly looking physiology before moving onto acclimatisation and race day in episodes two and three. This series is designed for trail runners who would like to understand a little more about the physiological and environmental processes that take place during trail running. Furthermore, it attempts to bridge the gap between the science and practical application for trail runners in training and racing.
