Hi everyone! Welcome on board a brand new ride! You had to wait for it a long time: but here it is! The first recorded ICNG ride with passengers on board on my channel. With in the end a little bit of shunting and also the emergency brakes will apply in this video!
Btw: my holiday is coming up. Therefor the next video and the one after that will come with a three week interval. Next publishing dates: September 15th and October the 6th. So make sure you enjoy this a little extra!
0:00 Rotterdam Centraal
Alright! Let's start the ride. As you can see we are immediately five minutes behind on schedule. There were some problems with the number of staff on board the train. That had to be fixed before we could depart. So let's get this baby back on time as fast as wel can!

The first tunnel of many on our route! With inside the tunnel Rotterdam Blaak.
3:24 Rotterdam Zuid
The train manager is contacting us via transceiver. There will a 30 seconds privacy cut in the sound of the video.
4:12 Rotterdam Stadion (+ Temporary Speed Limit)
Still a temporary speed limit in place here. Since the last time we drove here the speed on this track has gone up to 100km/h instead of 80km/h.
5:20 Rotterdam Lombardijen
The final Rotterdam Station we pass before we enter the high speed line.
5:47 Entering High Speed Line
On entering the high speed line we drive in ERTMS level 1 for the first signal section. After the second SMB (Stop Marker Board) the train will automatically change to ERTMS level 2. The driver follows up all speed indicators shown at the display. If not, the train will make sure of that itself (won't be comfortable though).
6:32 Kap Barendrecht
On the left side (behind the walls) freight trains are running. And some more to the left Barendrecht station can be found inside the tunnel. Off course all out of sight for us now.
7:10 Voltage Change-Over
Changing voltage from 1.5kV DC to 25kV AC. For this we'll pass a 400 meter long powerless (grounded) wire with pantographs down. ICNG all controls this by itself.
8:14 Speeding up to 200km/h!
After all systems are back on high voltage we can now speed up to 200km/h. Let's get some of our lost time back! :D

A passenger accidentally hit one of the SOS buttons near one of the doors.

Can you see those big doors in the middle? They prevent our country from flooding if needed.

A tunnel and a bridge right after each other. A steep climb up the slope!
13:35 Phase-Lock Lage Zwaluwe
A section separating two high voltage sections to prevent too many trains are using one phase (loosing power on the lines). This section powerless section (not grounded) is past by with the main switch off but pantograph stays raised. ICNG handles this section fully automatic.
14:49 Voltage Change-Over
Right after the Phase-Lock we drive though another voltage change-over (back to 1.5kV). ICNG again handles this fully automatic. The driver must only confirm the fact going back into ATB signalling area (driving on light signals).
17:26 Contact Train Dispatcher + Breda Prinsenbeek
Asking for green lights at Breda so we don't loose time on our schedule again. Now we can approach the station with 80km/h.

Arriving at Breda with a two minute delay.
26:09 Temporary Speed Limit + Gilze-Rijen
At and around Gilze-Rijen is still speed limit in place. It has even expanded over a longer part.

Arriving on time on our final stop. But wait! We're not ready yet! Time to get this train to the shunting yard! Like said: there's something special coming up!
57:04 Emergency Brakes Applied on Departure
Because the ATB-vv systems send a code to the train telling it the signal is still red our train will apply the emergency brakes. It's kind of an error message the train receives. ATB-vv is a back-up system that makes the train stop when a train is running towards a red light too fast. In this case the system thought that was the case. Safety first. Before we can continue we must put power back to the trains systems and unlock the ATB system first.
