10/10. This is what it's about. Using the equipment you have, with imagination, to turn out something amazing.

Nice Posting .. thanks. I have a Trangia Mini Set which I use at least weekly (it rotates in turn with my other 'cook kits'). Full English Breakfast .. do that quite regularly .. although I haven't used the Trangia Full Set for that .. yet 😊. For the Full English, I use an Esbit Folding Stove with Alcohol Fuel Gel. An IKEA 'One Egg' Pan or Trangia Mini Pan serves as the Fryer. My 'Warmer' consists of a Set of Military 'Dixies' used as as the Bain Marie. The smaller nests perfectly into the larger. Some water kept on the boil in the larger dixie sitting on a home-made foldable wire pot stand over a little Gel Burner (a glass jar metal scew-on lid). Smaller dixie floating in the larger keeping the 'scoff' more than warm and with an Aluminium Foil Lid and 'Bob's your Uncle' 😊. Everything .. mostly .. packs quite nicely into the Mess Tins. Regarding the overheating of the Trangia Burner. Similar experiences with my Trangia have me believe that having the Windscreen too close (and completely enclosing it and thus containing the heat generated) to the Burner could cause the fuel to 'cook' and burn hotter. Just a thought Take care ..

Good to see someone who actually takes food seriously. Impressed by the snake you call a sausage and your inventiveness with bubble and squeak. As a life-long Trangia fan, I like all your vids. Suggest you use two burners rather than refilling a red hot burner. Great ban marie idea! Perhaps best to prep B & Sq at home with real spuds and cabbage and take it for heating up on site. Interesting to see that Spanish eggs have the same over-runny whites as Supermarket eggs in the UK. Congratulations!!

These videos are great! I’ve owned a Trangia mini for over ten years, used it plenty of times, but only really for boiling water for re-hydrating or cooking a few sausages and eggs. Certainly going to try some of these recipes on my motorcycle trip. Thanks man. Please keep them coming...

I think you just (3 years ago) invented The Full Spanglish - and it looks wonderful! I’ve really got to get hold of that Spanish black pudding - it looks amazing. Well done!

So because I’m a complete nerd I’ve just done some research that you might find useful. If you buy the trangia 27 cooking pots only, the trangia 28 (mini) frying pan/lid should still fit as well as allow you to stow your kettle inside!

Thanks Mate! an English breaky special. If only we could get a decent White pudding here in Australia. Thanks for the ideas and Entertainment. Keep them coming. I have had my Trangia 27 for nearly 25 years, in the days when Dousal (Stainless Steel liner was an option. I have added #25 frypans and additional burners to the kit to make it a camp kitchen and have feed 6 adults and 2 kids. (by juggling and being creative) But I have a question please. You showed a kettle with the use of the Mini in this video, as a warmer. Is that the 600ml #27 kettle that sat on the mini pot (but wouldn't nest with Min #28T 800ml Pot.) I was wondering if the #28T pot and frypan of the mini will nest in the #27 cook set, with the kettle and burner removed. Looking to extend the capability without too much pack volume. I have stretched my set-up to cook a focaccia style bread in a makeshift oven within the #27 size frypan with the #25 size frypan inverted over the top. Pizza and garlic bread, options for meals etc, however I have found the gas burner option is less brutal on the bread outcome when you are tasting port when cooking and get distracted easily. Mix Flour yeast and water in a wet mix in a zip-lock sandwich bag works a treat (one serve), Place it in your jacket at lunch, allows the yeast to proof by dinner. or overnight for Breakfast. Use a piece of baking paper to line the base of the pan. Great options for day 4 on a walk! Damper and scones, too! Butter or Shortning (fat) rubbed into flour with a splash of water or long life cream and a pinch of salt, loosely bound into a soft dough, awesome with cream and jam, for desert and morning tea.

I keep my food warm by eating each component as soon as it's cooked ;) Anyway great job on the videos I've really enjoyed watching them. Did you consider getting the trangia 27? The weight difference isn't that much considering you get an extra pot and a much better wind shield.

Good job with a tiny cook set there mate, top looking bit of scran. I can appreciate where you are coming from, having lived just along the coast from you in Aguadulce, it's not easytrying to replicate the taste of home from Carrefour!

Thanks mate. Yes I do miss a lot of English food. I can recreate a lot of it, but homemade chips aren't the same as chip shop chips, pasties are out of the question, and a proper full English is hard to come by!

On my Mini, once the stove is really going, the Trangia simmer ring, even on a sliver of an opening sometimes burns too hot. What are the types of fuels you used to get the the "less hot" fuel mix? Love the videos and the ingenuity.

Can't help but thinking you'd be better off with Trangia 27 with the gasburner, but fair play mate, you're cooking up a storm on ye olde spirit burner!

The 27 with the Gas burner gives you much greater control of the heat.... Looking to extend my kit with the Mini to boil and reheat when I have a tribe to feed off the one kitchen set

Surprising how much of a stretch beans is when you only have one pot one pan 😂 Although I could've dropped the tin straight on the stove. One for the next mega breakfast!
