Guys…I am very aware that I talk extremely fast in this video. Something to bare in mind is that I am still a relatively new creator in the grand scheme of things ( even more-so when I created this particular video) And it takes time and practice to perfect any kind of craft! When it comes to voiceovers, I am still learning about timing and spacing and trying to improve with each video. I transitioned over here from TikTok, over there the tempo is extremely fast! And that style of voiceover doesn’t necessarily translate well to long form. It can be quite strange (and cringy!) to look back on old videos and see just how much my voiceovers have already improved. Ultimately though, it’s I still stand by everything I said in this video. The topic means so so much to me.

This video made my day ... I am an absolute perfectionist and have laser-focus in my working life, but my kitchen often looks like this one despite me giving myself regular pep-talks about not letting it slide. I absolutely loved your voice-over and it made me feel less judged and a bit less rubbish about myself ... thank you so much!!!! xox

I LOVE your voiceover and timing!! I find the pacing of many creators is too slow for me-I get frustrated and fast forward or change the playback speed then usually stop watching/listening. Yours is refreshing and easy to dive into and engage. Please keep doing what you’re doing! It’s inspiring and empowering as well as enjoyable! Thank you so much!!

This video is pure therapy and what a lovely take on how just because people don’t keep a clean house doesn’t mean they aren’t taking care of themselves - some folks, even if they desperately want to tackle everything, know that other activities that others would consider “side quests” are deeply important to their mental health. I’m sure he’s absolutely thrilled to have someone put so much love and help him with this particular part of his life. @@vivianholliday4338 way to take the time out of your day to spew vitriol on the internet. I hope you never find yourself in need of help in a tough situation - based on your comment I doubt you are able to maintain the kind of loving, genuine relationships that are required to show mercy to others which will inevitably exclude you from also receiving it. Remi...it’s beautiful. I came for the clean but was drawn in by the voice over. Neuro divergence. I know nothing about it. But I see myself in so much of what you said. I struggle every day to complete daily tasks. School was hard. Thank you for these videos. You’re not just helping your dad clean, you’re helping the community that watches and listens to these videos ❤️🇨🇦

Your voice over made me cry, so much about what you said about neurodiversity and family really hit home. You talk about your family so so lovingly, and you did a fantastic job on the clean ❤️❤️

What a great person and daughter you are. My mother was pretty clean, but she was overworked raising me on her own. Every now and then, I would clean like this when she was at work, most of the time, I was a normal teen, doing the least I could. This reminds me of the best we are, what we can do, for people we care about.

I hope you appreciate how brilliant you are. Seriously, you explained complex concepts with immense clarity. Your empathy is stunning. Rather than focusing on what can be seen, you dive down to the roots of dysfunction lurking beneath the surface that others see and judge harshly. Your generosity in your descriptions of your parent and siblings is unlike anything I ever witnessed. Much respect and admiration. Please, if you read the comments, don't think twice about the negative ones. There will always be people who are unreachable. I've subscribed to your channel and lok forward to getting to know you BTW, my house is a disaster, though very much less of one than it was a week ago. I found this video to be incredibly helpful, especially with the hard task of letting go of some of the shame. 🙏🏼❤️😘

I'm sitting watching this, absolutely bawling my eyes out. EVERYTHING you said about yourself, is me. I have struggled for as long as I can remember with these things. But until this very moment, I always just told myself that I was lazy. Berated myself for it constantly. I never understood why I couldn't bring myself to walk into class if I was late. Why I couldn't eat in front of people. Why I couldn't juggle all the things I was supposed to be juggling. Why no matter what I did, I just couldn't keep my house clean. In a million years, I could never think of enough words to express my gratitude that this video popped up in my feed. THANK YOU, from the bottom of my heart, for making me feel less alone, less "crazy" and like I'm NOT less of a person for my struggles.

I cried through this. Not because of anything you said was offensive but because you *understand* and I don’t feel so alone. My son is 17 and Autistic and has crippling anxiety and ocd. I’m like you were I have to leave everything to the last minute because I’m incapable of doing a bit at a time. I’m under the dark blanket of grief (I’ve recently lost both parents to cancer and my best friend and hubby had cancer but thankfully he’s now in remission) and depression and I’m holding on by a cotton thread and my house has gone to 💩 and it’s been over a week since I bathed or put a brush through my hair. I can’t function atm and although I’m spending my days either sobbing or staring in to space I keep telling myself that in my 48 years on Earth I’ve somehow gotten through the tough times even when I didn’t think I could. I thoroughly appreciate you making this video. I’m grateful to your Dad for allowing you to film and I’m ever so grateful to *you* Remi for being so passionate and supportive, transparent and the most beautiful soul. I got so much from this to sit and think about. Thank You! xxx

That sounds really hard. I lost my parents at 19, so I get it. Anti depressants for a few months & free grief counselling thru Cruse Bereavement Care charity were lifesaving.

Having been married to a Yorkshire Mahon, for 16 years, I love the accent of northern England in your voice. I have listened to your narration twice, and I am awestruck by both the depth understanding you have achieved about yourself and your ability to articulate the differences between the lives of yourself and your family and the lives of Neurotypicals. In many ways, you described me. I was spellbound while listening to your dialogue. The blessing is you’ve obviously done a lot of work, observation, counseling and/or education, as well as introspection by the ripe old age of 30! I did not have a diagnosis of autism spectrum, and start to come to these realizations until I was 40, and have never been able to articulate the whole story as well as you do. For all of my brilliance, cleverness, creativity , and talents, there were always things holding me back from my full potential - mostly, social and organizational skills. Like you, I have always felt like an outsider. I ended up doing well in my life and I know that you will, too. You have optimism, compassion, energy, and love to help you on your journey in life, and you’re young enough to have a full life ahead of you. I look forward to more of your videos to gain more insight about myself. Bless you.
