I thought I’d leave the comment before the section gets too congested. European is just too much of an umbrella term, and I want to provide this as a PSA. Saying “Europe does this all better” isn’t always a great strategy, since what Sweden might do well, Turkiye might do horribly. In one example, German queer rights are great! However, in places like Bulgaria, they’re abysmal. Not directed at anyone in particular, but I just wanted to chip in a point.

I'm slightly over 5 feet and a big part of the reason why the only sports I follow are figure skating and gymnastics is because being short is advantageous for those activities. Being tall can actively be a hindrance in skating especially on jumps which is where the majority of points come from. Having a lower center of gravity on those really complex twisting elements (combined with tons of training and fantastic natural amplitude, obvs) is one of Simone Biles' attributes that's helped her become the GOAT in women's gymnastics. Also, in womens gymnastics and in every category of figure skating, musicality, grace, and flow are all very celebrated. In skating especially. It has many qualities that society has put under the "feminine" bracket, thus it's been regarded as a gay sport. And unless there's wild headlines involving crimes and athletes screaming and crying on international tv, it's largely overlooked in the US. Also, it was the first sport to be officially sex segregated after a woman competed and won against all the men.
@minoyd

And I 1000% agree that we can and should be making new sports and variations to sports that are less dependent on height and other unchangeable physical characteristics. There are truly endless possibilities on this front.

It's so funny the shorts conversation because I 100% loath them. Not only I generally loath short content but after a full year, i had to stop making them brcause they were leading me nowhere. After more than 400 shorts I never understood what I was doing wrong. Sometimes I had 2k views, others 400 and others 0. Why? No clue lmao Also it didn't help that i hated the entire process: Ihated making them, editing and uploading them. I preffer to just stick to longform content even tho i barely get 10 or 20 views per video. It's soulcrushing putting so much time and effort into something that, essentially, no one watches. It's only been a year but I feel 100% defeated and oh well... I just upload because it's fun to do research, do thr script and editing.

Good on you man. I don’t have much interest in motorcycles, sadly. Hell, I wouldn’t drive a car if I didn’t have to. Driving gives me a lot of anxiety. But I enjoy political stuff. Funnily enough, ten years ago, I would’ve likely watched your video and left some argumentative comment, arguing against a lot of more progressive talking points. But, now here I am, a transfemme writer who adds progressive concepts into basically everything I do. Because of KZitemrs and streamers that explained things and helped me understand stuff, I began working passed my biases from being raised in the souther states, around religious propaganda and hate. Point is, while it wasn’t your channel that moved me over, stuff like this definitely does move people over. So keep up the good work!

25:00 You make a big note about empathy, and just wanted to say this: studies have shown that those who are neurodivergent have higher levels of empathy. Queerness and nerdy groups (like DND groups for example) have a really high comorbidity not just with each other, but with neurodivergency as well. A lot of gay or trans are also really nerdy, and autistic or adhd (or both). You being ADHD, I think, is what lead you to being more empathetic. I know ADHD has a tendency to emphasize ones emotions, so that your highest highs and lowest lows are truly worlds apart. But yeah, just wanted to point out that you having a heightened amount of empathy is linked to you being ADHD. Most neurotypical people dont have much empathy to be quite honest (from my experience)

Need to correct something the interviewee said here, soulbunni was never doxed, her name was put out there by herself in an attempt to make money all the bigger creator did was report on it. furthermore soulbunni has said very ablist and anti lgbtq things that are easily findable. I'm not trying to start drama, however soulbunni has done many many unpleasant things and I would be remiss to not at least suggest people look into the whole situation. demon mama has made a video on the situation and has gone on record as not being a syscophant for either keffels or soulbunni so again I just ask that people not blindly accept misinformation. its entirely possible the interview has been fooled so please if you reply don't attack her either.

I have no idea who this person is, but if they were hiding their name and someone went out of their way to dig up that information to spread it, that is considered doxing. 33:41 And yet, here you are talking about other complicated topics that have affected the life of people you love and your own life consequently. Maybe what we all need right now, among other things, is for anyone who has a platform to express their informed opinion with a certain reach between people in their society and country to take a stance as to what is happening today in Gaza. There is a genocide going on, an ethnic cleansing if you will against Palestinians. There're innocent people in constant state of helplessness dying almost daily, among whom are children (including newborns) and senior citizens (many of them women). No question about it. Many Palestinians don't have a voice to denounce the killings of their beloved ones; many don't even have the possibility to cry over and bury their bodies. Of course, it's not your fault or mine. No one should expect you or anyone else to become an expert in politics and geopolitical conflicts resolution overnight, let alone conduct a study to come up with alternatives to put an end to war in the Middle East or anything of that nature. However, maybe we all share the responsibility to show empathy and solidarity towards all human fellows around the world, and find creative ways to make issues like this visible, and thus somehow give voice to all the victims of warfare and validity to their suffering, form whatever trenches we may be able to do so. I suggest, as a first step, bringing on an expert on the Israeli-Plaestinian conflict to provide verified information and talk about this responsibly and objectively. Blessings!

So, I understand. Freedom of expression is viewed as a most fundamental, almost God-given right in the western Capitalist system, as long as you don't make the powerful uncomfortable.
