I just learned Joe Pesci plays guitar from wikipedia. It would've been cool to see Joe (rhythm, lead vocals), Steve Van Zandt (Lead guitar, backing vocals), and Frank Vincent on drums (or piano/trumpet RIP) play together as a super group; their hit songs would include: _Half a Wise Guy, Twenty Years in the Can, And Shine Box Blues._

Wow Joe! Amazing how many actors can sing and play guitar. Keifer Sutherland, Kevin Costner, Bruce WIllis, Steve Martin, RIcky Gervais, Adam Sandler, Bruce Greenwood, Jack Black, Tim Robbins, Kevin Bacon, and Johnny Depp (wish he'd practice more), just off the top of my head.

@sammy005 The songs reflects the relationship between Vinny and his girlfriend Lisa in the movie. The original version of Bible Belt was first released speaking of a married Southern Preacher who had a sneaky relationship with another woman in the church. Travis Tritt was approached to re-write a second song with new lyrics for "My Cousin Vinny." The official movie soundtrack music video was released on CMT and TNN in 1992 with clips from the movie.

Hey all: Joe Pesci is actually a Terrific singer -- more of a jazz singer, though. He goes by "Joe Doggs"... originally so nobody would know that it was him. He even recorded vocals on albums with the organ legend Joey Defrancesco.

It always amazes me at how multi talented many entertainers are. They don't have long careers by being lucky. Fans aren't that stupid. A few years ago in Northern Ontario I was dragged kicking and screaming to see Steven Segal in concert. While he will never scare Eric Clapton, he is an above average guitarist. I'm not a fan but regardless was stunned at how good ( and committed) he was

Well, he was a New York attorney 'Bout to take a Southern journey Into places that he'd never been She was a brunette out of Brooklyn Fast talkin' and good lookin' With a body that was made for sin And she wanted him for marriage 'Cause the torch that she carried Was hotter than the fires of hell But he said he didn't need her So she followed down deep Into the buckle of the Bible Belt She begged and she pleaded And she told him all she needed Was a little tender lovin' care But he was wrapped up in his work And acting like a jerk By pretending that she wasn't there But her heart was love-stricken So she never thought of quittin' Or givin' up on how she felt She had plans to seduce him If she could, she would loosen A notch in the Bible Belt There's a lot of good people who are led astray That believe true love is dead But I'll tell you somethin', brother When you're dealin' with your feelings It's tough to keep a level head And it's hard to imagine How the flames of passion Will burn 'til your soul will melt And it'll spread like a cancer 'Til you're gonna have to answer To your heart and the Bible Belt Well, no matter who you are If you're a peasant or a star There's a need for love in every man And he found it pretty soon Underneath the Southern moon When she finally made him understand That every man's got his pride And he'll try to run and hide From emotions that his heart has felt So he gave her love a chance That's when he found romance In the heart of the Bible Belt There's a lot of good people who are led astray That believe true love is dead But I'll tell you somethin', brother When you're dealin' with your feelings It's tough to keep a level head And it's hard to imagine How the flames of passion Will burn 'til your soul will melt And it'll spread like a cancer But you're gonna have to answer To your heart and the Bible Belt They better get their heads together Or they're gonna slap leather With their hearts and the Bible Belt Amen, brother...
