I’ve had my ProForm Ifit treadmill for 23 years. I finally need to adjust the belt. Thanks for this video and a very quality machine.👍

Thanks so much for advising what size wrench is used! Everyone else doesn't bother to include that important information.

the belt should be running down the center of the walking platform. as long as it is not rubbing the deck rails it should work well. The belt should be as loose as possible with out slipping so turn both bolts the same direction to loosen the belt, the same number of turns to keep the belt centered, and loosen it to the point where it just begins to slip. From there make adjustments to both bolts, the same number of turns to tighten the belt, to the point where it just no longer slips.

How do I remove the startup screens and if it queries when I start each day. I just want to turn the treadmill on and not be queried about if it. I don’t want a costly app after buying an expensive machine. Thanks. Roger

Some equipment was designed to be used with a wifi connection and subscription. if you want to avoid the prompt to enter your subscription information or to sign up you can disconnect from wifi- you will only have the manual work out option. note some units will update to the new iFit 2.0. Once your compatible machines update to iFIT2.0 you will need to create a free account and log in or subscribe to the iFit service. However once complete you should not be asked to log in again unless you sign out.

My treadmill makes motor kind of noises, they are not loud but it was not like that in the beginning, how do I fix it?

The sounds the treadmill will make will change with use/wear and tear, some of which is unavoidable. The best way to keep the treadmill quiet is regular maintenance, This including lubricating the walking belt and keeping it properly adjusted. This keeps less strain on the motor allowing it to run more quietly. Keeping all the other parts tight will prevent nocking noises and replacing worn out parts like the, walking belt, will keep the motor running efficiently.

My Carbon TL doesn’t have a left side adjustment bolt. The track is slipping like crazy.

Tensioning the belt to prevent slipping caused by a loose belt can be done using the idler roller bolts in the rear of that treadmill. Also note that on some models the drive belt may also be to loose causing slipping. So you may need to tighten the motor belt if tightening the walking belt does not improve slipping.

Does it also work for Nordictrack ?

This kind of belt adjustment will work for all treadmills that have an adjustable idler roller in the rear of the treadmill. If you have a NordicTrack incline trainer with the adjustments in the front we have a video for that on this channel as well.
