The first technique open against true guardant, the first time i learnt this in Hobart was during a bout and like what was shown i stood there and tried to parry it from true guardant and was struck upon the top of my head. After that i then used that technique against fellow students and if they didn't slip back but instead just stood their to try and parry it worked beautifully. We all at least fell for this once. But I'm buggered if i can now do that technique with my students here on King Island. The first time i had tried to use it upon them during a bout they never stood their ground to try and parry from guardant, they always slipped back out of distance, which the first couple of times i followed them in rolling my wrist around from imbroccata to try and strike and thus producing a false time and getting punished with a well deserved strike to my forearm.

Paradox 35 tells us that 'in true carriage of teh guardant fight...the removing of two or three inches saves all' He also specifically discusses the guardant in use against the thrust in Brief Instructions chapter 4, grounds 16, 18, 19 and 20. In Chapter 8, ground 14 of Brief Instructions he tells us that if our opponent lie in Stocatta then we lie in variable suggesting you shouldn't be in guardant if your oponnent is in Stoccatta. Admittedly this is in the context of rapier and dagger. My point is, Silver does tell us how to deal with this situation.

Can you do a video on pointy hanging guard/prime, its pros, cons and how to use it?
