After I replaced original (Roco) motor with Maxon coreless motor, I was very pleasantly surprised by the fact that old Tsunami 1 sound decoder can provide superb motor control, despite my (and of many other) very dissapointing experiences so far in that department.
Running was so smooth that I could not beleive my eyes it is possible. I did not beleive still, therefore I connected decoder wires from that locomotive to motor of another locomotive (Athearn Genesis F7), with different coreless motor (Namiki). I know it looks at least to say weird, but this test proved that decoder really can provide excellent motor control, but obviously, only with coreless type of motor.
The most important CV values:
CV 2 = 1
CV 209 = 40
CV 210 = 3 or 4 (with Naimiki even 1 or 2!)
CV 212 = 150 - 170
CV 213 and 214 = 2, 3 or 4 (for both, I settled with 3 for both finally)
Негізгі бет Tsunami 1 and coreless motors - a very pleasant surprise!
