Thank sir , good work. Those Tamiya motors are hit and miss. It might just be dieing out on you.

With 4000kv brushless on 3S. Not for the faint hearted.

What about those red wheels ? the sidewalls look smaller than the stock so that is not so strange you dropped speed This speed gear set is std in all my TT02's 😉Although i buy the Yeah Racing one. Also the YR motor mount is awesome as you can adjust better than the Tamiya one Try 63T #51356, or change the spur to a 48dp/64dp to go even faster

I tested the wheels against the stock ones and there was no change in speed, but will be looking for more suitable ones. I have a few pinions to try and a 64T spur to put in there. Thanks for watching and the comments.

Sticking with brushed? 60A ESC should hold up fine even with that 64t spur

Was thinking of eventually going brushless and lipo but seen too many battery fires on social media this week. Stick with brushless this year.

@@rctamiyaaddict4687 Yeah that can always be a worry, but I try to keep mine in a steel lock box when not in use. I had good luck with the KingVal 5900kv and 60A motor/ESC combo getting into speed runs. It runs for about $50 and the motor mount is about $10. If you stay in the gearing chart, it should be cool, reliable and consistent for ya.

Torque tuned that came in the kit. Just installed a hpi racing fire bolt 15T for the next run.
