you had a part where you sanded down the inside of the sliding truck, which part did you sand down and how much? we tried using this design and the motor could only pull back 2 rubber bands on each side, but we didn't sand down the inside of that

Why/how would you apply grease to a linear slide?
@574crobotics4
5 жыл бұрын
@@lukaspfalz6128 you can apply grease by rubbing it on the slide rail or slide trucks. We put grease on the slide trucks reduce friction which makes the ball shoot farther with less rubber bands.

The screws are referred to as "motor screws", which come-with the motor when bought. An easy way to tell between two screws if you've mismatched a screw is by using a 5/64 screw driver. The screw should be able to turn with the screw drive if you used a motor screw.

How did you get one motor to power so many rubber bands, one motor can barely pull back 2 rubbers bands on mine
@amykreiter8425
5 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure how he was able to do that with only one gear, but I was able to pull back like 5 rubber bands using a small driving gear (attached to a motor) that pushed a very large gear that was on the same axle as the gear seen in the video. It is slower but very powerful.

legacy motors aren't as consistent, some of our motors can lift a lift a 10 bar by itself while some of them can only lift a 4 bar by itself, thats why im excited for the V5's

Yoyoman Yoyo I’ve been working with v5 for while now we were first team in our area to get them currently got a launcher that uses 3 rubber bands both sides and their doubled up I recently just upgraded it though because tried to use 4 each side doubles and stripped inside of gear of a 36 and high strength 36 with the metal slots inside to started to get wider

If your wondering how strong our design is from back of field it goes over the back net and out and no it doesn’t ark over cuz we have high angle it doesn’t start to fall till after it’s passed entire field it’s really strong had to use different stopper method than what’s shown because with old design even using only double rubber Bands both sides doubled up split steal c channel 😂 new stopper is two c channels each side locked together with screws and standoff’s inside with good chunk of padding both sides

@aaronforshajr9731

Mike Luu One thing about getting on the platforms is you need to make sure that your center of gravity is in the front (assuming you have all wheel drive). If you don’t have 4 wheel drive you might want to do that. Another design idea is 5 inch wheels. Make sure that your wheels are far enough apart also because if you don’t your bot might get caught up on the pipes. tldr: -four wheel drive -center of gravity toward the platform -5 inch wheels if available -be sure your bot’s wheels are far enough apart to create clearance Hope this helps! Good luck!

Will a 36 tooth gear work on this one?
@jackbrunner1704

What he did, is he took a 36 tooth gear and shaved off 11 teeth with a dremel. This is part of the slip gear release of the potential energy in the rubber bands.
